I guess those are the "evangelical" qualities trump has that I keep hearing from the blue hairs in Iowa and the so called "pastors" that back him

It’s ironic that the word Evangelize means to go out and convince other people not in your belief structure to listen to your message.

White Evangelical Christian’s are doing the opposite of what Christ and the Bible instructed them to do.

    A. They are putting another god in front of the God.
    B. They are actively demonizing anyone who is not in their cult
    C. They are destroying their moral belief structure to ensure that anyone that isn’t a Christian would never want to listen to a word they say.

Trump supporting Christians are absolutely lost spiritually and they really should be afraid of going to Hell if they believe their own text about how “taking the Lords name in vain” will keep them from going to Heaven.

    Exodus 20:7

What the Bible is warning Christians or fake Christians of is using the Lords Name to further your own interests and bastardizing the reputation of Christianity… thereby destroying the religion.

The authors of the Bible were VERY concerned about a movement like MAGA destroying Christianity and that’s exactly why they are so harsh on “Taking the Lords name in Vain”. The entire book of Revelations is basically a warning of a political leader in Nero at the time putting himself before God. John literally believed the world as we know it comes to an end if people turn to someone like Trump who puts himself before God and uses Gods name in vain which Trump does all the time.

This endorsement shows that Vivek is nothing but a lying scumbag. I knew he was just another rich guy seeking power.

The MAGA America First cult is all about power at all cost. They don't care about truth, and certainly don't put America First. He's proud of supporting a sociopathic liar, criminal, con, and wannabe Dictator with the maturity and couth of a middle school bully. Vivek is now sucking up to Trump and pledging loyalty to the cult leader himself. How low would he go, and how many laws would he break to serve as Trump's VP? Trump expects ultimate loyalty from his foot soldiers. That loyalty is first. Trump expects them to bow to his barking orders, regardless of the law, the truth, ethics, or American citizens.

    Surprise?

Except for Christie, they all said they would vote for Trump if he's the nominee. So, it's natural that they would endorse him sooner or later. No one should be surprised. If there is any CHARACTER to be had, it's that they do not value anything resembling normalcy, decency, lawfulness, or democracy for that matter. They are all mini-trumps, except they don't have a cult following to become just like him. If they do, well, they lack the character to be ethical or moral, as they have already shown they have none.

Not being a Christian I'm not going to say who is and who isn't being true to the Bible. What I do know as an American is that the Founders were very fearful of demagogues. Alexander Hamilton wrote in Federalist Paper #1,
"History will teach us that ... of those men who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people; commencing demagogues, and ending tyrants."

Cuban has more followers on twitter than O'Keefe does.

 King David was probably the most celebrated-within-his-lifetime person in the Bible.

I very honestly think democracy started fully unraveling in the first months of 2021. Once you have an election denier and have a whole political party tolerate that and tolerate blatant criminal activity against the state, why mince words? Why? "Oh, if we just can beat Trump in the 2024 election." By all means, we can clutch our pearls, but give us all a break.

It was a fun experiment, and now everyone has to decide what they're willing to do. Play pretend democracy? Or try to make sure you get your own autocrat elected. Because to me, once a big section of your citizenry have tossed the rulebooks aside, it's just a matter of time. Dictatorships are easy, and that's why they've been so common in human history, and I'd predict they always will be. (With apologies to Star Trek and all my own fantasies of a good future.)

Kentucky Republican Pushes Bill to Make Sex With First Cousin Not Incest

A Kentucky Republican has introduced legislation that would amend the state's law so a person who had sex with their first cousin would no longer be criminally liable for incest.

House Bill 269, which state Representative Nick Wilson sponsored, was introduced on January 16 to the House Committee on Committees. According to the Kentucky General Assembly website, it would strike "first cousin from the list of familial relationships" defined as unlawful incest in the state. The amendment would also reduce the designation of incest by contact to a Class D felony for some cases "unless it is committed with a person who is less than twelve years of age," in which case it is Class C.

Wilson, then a 27-year-old public defender, first shot to prominence when he won the 37th season of the CBS reality TV show Survivor in 2018, called Survivor: David vs. Goliath, before returning for the 40th season, featuring the winners from previous shows in 2020. In November 2022, Wilson ran unopposed for the 82nd District of the Kentucky House after Republican incumbent Regina Huff retired.

Kentucky law states that a person is guilty of incest if they engage in sexual relations with a person they know to be "his or her parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, great-grandparent, great-grandchild, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, brother, sister, first cousin, ancestor, or descendent." The amendment introduced by Wilson, if passed, would remove first cousin from this list.

It would also alter Kentucky law on parole for violent offenders to include a person "who has been convicted of incest by sexual contact" within the definition.

Wilson's bill was called "truly insane" by Eliza Orlins, a New York public defender who previously appeared as a contestant on Survivor: Vanuatu and Survivor: Micronesia.

In a nearly two minute TikTok video, also shared on her X account, Orlins said: "Oh my God I've got some wild news...This news relates to David vs. Goliath winner of Survivor Nick Wilson, who then leveraged the fame he obtained from winning Survivor to run for Kentucky state legislator and got elected.

"Nick Wilson is not only supporting but has introduced a bill that would reclassify incest in the state of Kentucky to not include your own first cousin. Kentucky, like so many other places, is facing a lot of issues, and this is Nick's top legislative priority."

"I think a lot of people in this country are out of touch with reality and will accept anything Donald Trump tells them. You had a jury that said that Donald Trump raped a woman. And that doesn't seem to be moving the needle. There's a lot of things about today's electorate that I have a hard time understanding."
