I've got Benson as an early to mid 2nd rd pick Allen as a mid to late 2nd rd pick, may have to trade up a little bit for him 3-85 is about right for Irving. Wright and McCllelan as 5th rd type guys. Where do you think these guys go?
Brooks (Texas) possibly bottom of the second. Then have your Benson, Henderson, Irving, Corum in the next round or two.
On one hand: kickers are plentiful On the other: really good kickers are not We learned that this season, right?
I'm not spending a second on Brooks coming off an ACL. Probably one of the 4ths. I like Benson and Allen better than Brooks without the ACL and I'm a UT fan.
Injuries are not all created equal. It would depend on the post-rehab closer to the draft medicals (MRI's don't lie, neither to strength tests on 1 leg vs the other). I'm not advocating anything, btw.
I think it's possible... Wilson is entering his 3rd year and his payday is coming. BUT I think Jets hold onto him because he's the only weapon they have for AR.
This is an intersting thread. Here are my thoughts: If we look at the Patriots with Brady as a guide, it is unlikely that Caserio is going to go after splashy, high dollar free agents. I think the Texans will be attractive for a lot players. Safety is a position of need and there a lot of good, younger players available. I would not sign older, expensive wide receivers on big contracts. There are some good targets on the defensive line in free agency- older, productive players like Fletcher Cox, or young edge players like Bryce Huff are appealing. Paying high $, or draft capital for running backs is not a good idea.
I'd be willing to trade a 3rd and our first round to move up to grab him. He has elite speed and knows how to read coverages like a pro....man if we could get him and resign Nelson I think we're set for sometime...
As you can tell, I don’t think there are any top two round RBs here. But definitely agree we should pick one up at some stage.
