If Slowik leaves to be a head coach next year bring in Klint Kubiak…baby Kubiak can maintain some consistency…

    Um. Are you on crack?

Since when was Patricia EVER a successful OC? Just look to last season in NE. 24th in EPA and 25th in success rate.

Honestly, what made you make the suggestion? Just trying to get my head around it.

It did fit the narrative all the way thru the Panthers game. Listening to Stroud helped that. That's one of Slo's best qualities.

And the motion usage went from 13% the first 5 games( as I tracked it earlier in this thread) to now 54%. Don't remember which reporter asked Slo why he didn't use motion and Slo' replied it takes time to build up to that.

It also doesn't tell me anything. He passed on 2nd down plenty...often very predictably after a poor run on 1st down.

If somebody had an actually breakdown of 1st down runs, 2nd down passes and how frequent they were, then it might hurt the narrative. He did improve in that regard after the Carolina embarassment.

Vrabel makes sense. They have a culture identity problem on both sides. Plus, he can bring his Billionaire buddy Aurtur Smith in as OC.

Losing Slowik would be a tremendous loss. You need brains to be a successful OC -- and he's got it. Defensive coaching you can get by with an emotional rah-rah approach. But offense you need smarts.

Lol. Saw a podcast from this week by The Athletic recapping wild card weekend. They talked about the Texans and went on a Shanahan Tree tangent about Demeco and Bobby. Bobby in particular. To paraphrase, they said they liked seeing those pure Shanahan offensive philosophy in our offense. Absolutely loved Stroud in the Shanahan like system and watching him apply those concepts is like watching ‘Freddie Mercury’ cover your music as opposed to some standard house band (lmfao). Now why would Bobby go from Freddie Mercury to a low rent wedding singer.

    25:56 if your interested.

If Cal wants Bobby to stay he's going to have to pay him comensurate to a head coach for at least two years

Mike Tomlin is staying for his final contract year. That means Pitt and Chi (Eberflus is gone nxt year) might have vacancies. Bobby should stay put. The teams who might need head coaches nxt year look sexier.
