I saw something similar. I think it was about potential Iowa caucus voters, not a national poll.

Yikes. She really needed to finish 2nd to give her a boost in NH and maybe pull a surprise win there with the help of independents and have a small chance to reset the race. Now, it's just going to be a endless slog between DeSantis and Haley trading 2nd place finishes to see who can be the "if Trump goes to jail" backup candidate.

My guess is that DeSantis’ ground game got him the second place finish. He invested a lot into it. NH will be interesting to see if Haley can pull the upset.

If haley fails to do well in the purplish NH, I'd guess she might hang until SC but the reality is she is simply spending money at this point.

People don't realize that Haley's big money donors are investing in her candidacy not expecting her to win, but expecting her TO EXTRACT FAVORS and PROMISES from Trump after Super Tuesday when she could stay in just to piss off the Trump campaign, and there will be a deal offered by Trump in order to pull some of her more moderate supporters back home to Trump.

Haley's big money donors want to make sure more than anything, that when Trump takes back power that he gives them another big tax cut, and scratches their back in order ways that puts more money in their pocket.

Nikki Haley the candidate might be in it for the right reasons, but I'm 100% certain that her donors who allow her to stay in the race are in it for making themselves even more morbidly rich during a Trump dictatorship.

See my post above. I'm not sure about her personal motivations, but her donors absolutely want another round of Trump tax cuts, and see Haley as a vessel for exchanging her support upon dropping out as a negotiation tactic. She's a pawn for the morbidly rich Republican billionaire donors.

For her personally, I think Haley is probably too smart to want to be VP under a Trump dictatorship. That will be a horrible position to be in that almost got Mike Pence killed. She's either going to be nothing more than a Fox News propaganda mouthpiece, or she's going to get herself murdered the moment she's a threat to Trump.

I do NOT think Haley is that dumb. If she accepts or asks for a VP spot, it's because she's forced to by her donors as a check on Trump's promises to them, or she's getting something massive in exchange (which I'm sure she's skeptical she'll ever see),

if her past action is any indication,

she'd accept the VP spot, just like she had taken the UN ambassador appointment from the Trust Fund baby

Why is the concept that America existed prior to Ronald Reagan so hard for these folks to grapple with?

Except for the fact that if you want Trump to win in 2024, he’ll need to court soft Democratic voters in this Haley camp.

If you have this sort of drink the kool aid or die strategy then we have to take it seriously that you WANT Trump to lose and use violent measures to take power instead of winning Democratically.
