They were up 17-16. The bench's score was 2-17 at the remaining part of the 1st.
    He did not like. Hmmm.

the Rockets are a joke on the road and have been playing pretty poorly overall for awhile now

now holding onto the 10th spot by half a game over the Lakers and 1 game over GS

if they do not make the play-in at the very least this year, then this season is a massive fail

I'm not happy but no one expected this to be a play-in team.

They won 22 games last year and have already won 18. I think you need to chill.

Exactly, it’s a case of moving the goal posts to expect playin this year. I don’t recall many predictions of best case scenarios more than 40-42 wins. We got a bit overly optimistic with that early season home stand.

I don’t need to do anything

they gave someone 40+ mil/yr and spent over 60 mil in free agency…plus we have multiple guys taken high in the lottery and went from Silas to Ime

    play-in or bust

why so negative? We got cam whitmore at 20 and have a bright future! Teams were going to adjust to us, now that they know we're decent. Rebuilding takes a while. Even if we don't make the playin we still got brooklyns pick and since this draft aint that good, its not that big a deal giving okc our pick. I would rather miss the playin than give up any first round picks for a trade to get in the playoffs. i'd rather keep our picks

Udoka is being weird. Starters were fine we were up by one when bench checked in and it went downhill.

His hardline stance on rotations remind me a bit of Gary Kubiak when he coached the Texans. Wouldn't deviate from his set plays and sets regardless of the Patriots going up like 28-0.

I’m not saying they need to start trading picks away to make the playoffs, but I feel that I have very modest expectations of at least being the 10th seed in the West, and their play the last several weeks has been straight up disappointing

they were down 28 in the 1st half today…they barely beat Detroit who was missing their 2 best offensive players…the defense is just giving up anything the other team wants

Jalen somehow managed to regress in year 3 which is just sad

I could go on with the issues I’ve been worried about, but I’ll just stop here before it turns into a thesis paper

I apologize if this is me being overly negative, but I gotta speak my mind

The hole was dug when Jeff Green came in.

He had the craziest net rating I have ever seen.
    -127.7 in 12:33 minutes.

Edit: But it wasn't Embiid scoring all over him, it was just that they were scoring a lot while Jeff was in.

When Alpi first went to the bench, the score was about even.

    Just facts.

I will post the matchup data later.

Also, when you look at the hustle stats, Alpi had 6 of the Rockets' 7 screen assists and 15 of 31 shot contests of the entire team. Next highest shot contests is FVV with 4.

Edit: Here are the hustle stats - Alpi also drew the only charge the Rockets had, and had 4 deflections.

its ok reeko, you are a well respected poster on this board and i respect your opinnion. But i am going to enjoy the process. I know we are years away, and if you coulda told me we'd be in this position when we made that harden trade, i would take this any day of the week. we are stockpiled with young talent with more picks on the way. All we need to do, is let them grow and not **** it up by making stupid trades. Face it, we not competing with some of these teams any time soon. We need them to get older. How long did it take denver, OKC, and Minnesota to get where they are now? it didn't happen over night. lets just enjoy what we have brother.

Rockets were super lucky with 3 point shooting % from the opponents early in the season, that was bound to come back to the mean

The Cameroonian was not happy and dropped 16 FTs.

    The Nigerian was grumpy.

I don't miss Silas at all. We made so many mistakes on the defensive end and we were only down by 11 in the 3rd quarter at one time. Our bench is bad for sure, we missed Tari's contribution. That being said, Philly was shooting 48% on 3s and we were 29%. If we couldn't contain them, at least we should at least match their performances. Out of the 27 attempts on 3s, most of them were wide open. On the contrary, most of the Maxey's 3-pointers made were difficult shots, so this is our problem here from the start of the season - We don't have enough shooters. Let's be honest, you rolled back the tape and looked at the 3s Tate and Jalen took, imagine if Dame was the shooter and more likely or not he would knock them down. This is not a knock on Tate or Jalen, this is a roster construction issue. If you want to run Sengun-centric offense, you need catch-and-shoot shooters, a lot of those, not rhythmic shooters. I have been saying the synergy between Jalen and Sengun is not there, we are forcing them to play together because we don't have a better option, or Ime feels Cam is not ready. Whatever it is, you can't win when the disparity of 3s is huge in today's game.
