The argument would be whether you pay someone like Evans for 3 years instead of the steep cost to get Harrison. I just want one more WR, either way.
This stat alone should make him Offensive Player of the Year..... 1 of 3 QBs ever to lead the NFL in passing yards per game and TD-to-INT ratio in the same season (joining Tom Brady and Joe Montana)
Well Harrison would be the best but there's 2 or 3 other WR's that are clear first round picks that I'd be happy with trading up for too
Did my usual victory lap around fan forums. The NFL fanbase thinks we have the modern Peyton Manning.
I think hes more Tom than Peyton. Insert and win. Immediately. Not to say Peyton is a bad comp. I just see more Tom than Peyton. Cool, calm, collected.
I think he compares more to Aaron Rodgers since he can make plays out of the pocket but still looks to pass first but can run when he has to. Tom and Manning were such pure pocket passers where Aaron could be that but could easily roll out and throw on the run and also doing all of that with low INT. Honestly think Aaron was better than Manning too and probably better than Tom but he didn't have stacked teams to play with and sometimes had mediocre at best weapons on his side of the ball.
The craziest thing about Stroud is you can still see room for improvement--he's overthrowing some of the deep balls because he's getting a bit too hyped. Can you imagine how good he's going to be in year 3 or 4?
Maybe? I would definitely prefer Harrison though if it's close because of the prior relationship with Stroud.
That's true, and I certainly wouldn't be against it, but I think Harrison is just a completely different level. That said, his straight line speed would be something the Texans don't currently have, so maybe the fit would be better even if he wouldn't be the better of the 2 WR's Either way, I'm happy with either.
