Kicker is the easiest spot to retain/replace. The least important spot. There’s maybe 3 teams in the NFL looking to address kicker and they’d rather spend a 7th rd pick than pay one a million or two.

Steven Nelson is the most important player to lock up followed by Schultz, Singletary and Greenard. Texans have 71mil too spend so they shouldn’t have a problem retaining every starter with plenty left over too upgrade.

When you have one of the best, most consistent kickers in the league, you don't go gambling on a rookie.

I agree that there's certainly others who are a priority as well, but if you lose Kai you could be turning a great strength into a dumpster fire.

He should be fairly cheap and they have a ton of money to spend. The highest paid kicker makes like 6 mil.

I don’t think he fits the Zone Scheme that we run. He always Seemed like a down hill runner. Similar to Pierce. Barkley would fit our scheme but he made $11m this year plus that NYC media market money which I read is like $5m per. He’s gonna want at least $13 mil + multiple years. I would pass.

Every miss PAT takes a million off his potential contract.

I don’t think he is the most important, but he is a great kicker and worth a premium. I think the Texans re-sign him.

The Texans will score big in free agency. Many players will want to come and be a part of a rising star.

    That’s what I’ve been saying. He’s a FA. A big 1-2 year deal

We need someone who can punch that **** in in the red zone. We basically already have our receivers. Just need a reliable dude who can bully his way in the red zone

    I think we’d be unstoppable

The most Saquon is going to get with his injury history is a three year contract. They could give him 3 yrs 40 mil and structure it where it doesn't hurt the salary cap and if the offense is anything similar to this season he's going to outplay that. And with the attention Saquon would draw, they wouldn't need to break the bank for Mike Evans or Tee Higins

Re: running backs the most likely thing I see is bringing back Singletary and drafting somebody to eat up some carries in round 3+. What I would do is sign D'Andre Swift and draft somebody like Jaylen Wright out of Tennessee (7th round) as a change of pace backup.

Anyone have any eyes on elite secondary in this year's draft? If we had a shutdown safety it would be a game changer. We still get lit too much for comfort down the field.

The best thing that happened to his free agency is he got hurt. I didn't value him as much until we had to deal with another kicker.
He has also gotten better with fgs over 50 (has always been really good under 50) I would hate to lose him

Yeah, he's pretty much money inside 55 and can hit from 60, that's a really important weapon to have. He's worth 5-6 mil a year easy.

All Pro S Antione Winfield of the Buccaneers. He might get franchised tho or reset the market value for Safeties. $19-$22 million per year.
