I think we are very fortunate to have the team we have. Listen to ther announcing teams with women who have no idea what’s going on. Our guys are good. Not as good as Bill and Calvin, but that was a once in a lifetime gem of a combo.
We’ve got a UCLA guy, SHS guy, and a gal from Indy. It’s just an awkward setup. Ackerman is okay but he should have a former Rocket next to him, and Houston bred sideline reporter.
Akerman has an orgasm during the most routine plays. He comes across fake. "....and Jalen Green hits the clutch freethrow....oh godd yesss i just cameee.....Rockets up 34-32."
Istanbul is the center of the world for hair transplant, welcoming 200.000 foreigners every year. What Michael DeBakey was for vascular surgery or what Royal Marsden is for cancer treatment, Istanbul is for hair transplant. You can see lots of hair transplanted Hollins look-a-likes wandering around the cosy streets of Nisantasi, or in shopping malls. Not the most romantic scenery but brings $1B+ to economy every year.
Hollins is just the absolute worst, I cannot click over to opposing team's broadcast fast enough on League Pass. I honestly still to this day have no idea why he's even here.
Bill was disliked on CLutchfans too. When Craig leaves, they'll be a post like this for the next guy lol
That's because Bill was in the twilight of his career when those people were complaining. He and Calvin were really good together and Bill was really good until age caught up to him.
As someone that listened to them for several decades I'm well aware of that. They were still Rockets announcers.
In comparison to other NBA announcers I've heard on other teams, they are both good and improving over time.
I find myself more partial to the radio broadcasts, always have. I grew up listening to Gene Peterson and when I became an out of market Rockets fan, I was always tuning in before League Pass was even a thing when it was only Audio League Pass. The most legendary broadcasters are the radio personalities, not the talking heads on tv.
