This team gives me 2012-2013 Rockets vibes. Incredibly likeable, young, over-performing team that had just formed from the ashes of the of the Yao era.
Two plays away from the Landry Trophy. These were my first memories of Football. I know I'm too old for most to get the reference. I'm also too old for most to understand too much snow made it impossible to watch the Oilers.
I'm pretty sure their scheme requires both in any given play. The push toward the backfield while maintaining gap security allows deeper drops by the DBs. If they are running, the gap security makes it run defense. Sometimes the terminology just seems strange like a run blitz which can become a pass blitz when they run a play action.
Gotta feel excited for H-Town. We suck for years, now the Rockets and Texans are doing well. CJ Stroud will take us far.
We got a bad ref crew and espn is hyping up “playoff Joe”. Not much talk about Stroud. I expect several WTF calls today.
Stingley and King both. Double team him. I just don't want to see guys 6 feet behind the receivers tackling them after a catch, and allowing them first downs. We need a couple guys stuck on Amari like glue. In that same respect, I don't want to guys catching balls behind the first down marker on 3rd down.
But, due to the injury, he's been relegated to a straight ahead bull rusher...much less effective. It takes away from him being able to play the run, and the moves during that pass rush. Ergo my question... It's one of the keys to the game. Hopefully Tunsil's groin is better too.
