STEPHEN A MAKES A GREAT POINT!!!!!!!!!!!! "LOOK AT WHAT YOUR EYES ARE SEEING." DAN O SAID SOMETHING SIMILAR!!! :STEPHEN A MODE OFF: It's a shame that some will still use the resume over what a player has done in a season just because he's is a rook. That's ageism, yo! Truth be told only Jackson, Purdy and Prescott have been better all year. He was a top 4 qb this season. And Stroud did it without the 8 years of experience Dak has. Stroud did it with a Macgyver'd offensive line and no running game. Purdy is awful without his weapons. Stroud is the weapon.
The reality is I assume Stroud has the second highest or possibly highest trade value in the entire NFL just because of the combination of his talent and how many years he has ahead of him where he probably isn't close to his prime yet.
Lol, I remember we'd go drink beers and have headbutting contests to see who was the toughest. Late 70's/early 80's stupid.
It is fun to watch. Insane to think these guys are having a convo of how legendary the TEXANS qb could be. I found it funny that mad Dawg was going nuts that SAS only named 3 QB in front of stroud and then proceeded to name a total of 2 more.. so he’s not 4th best, he’s 6th best?! I’LL TAKE THAT FROM MY ROOKIE QB! Haha.
When you factor in AGE and SALARY, there isn't a QB in the NFL you'd trade CJ Stroud for. The only two possible options are Purdy and Love - but both are older and closer to extensions. You'd have to build a package around both to get my attention. Honestly, the ONLY trade for CJ I'd even remotely consider is Chicago sending us 1.1 + 1.9 + several other significant assets. I wouldn't do it - but that would at least get my attention.
It already has. It took those guys 6 seasons to get the Texans to where just Stroud, Area 51, Dell has taken them, a chance at the ultimate prize. To'o To'0, Patterson and now Scruggs filled in and contributed.
CJ is a player no team can afford to trade for, it will set their team back with the amount of assets they'll have to give up. It will costs the Bears 4 1st rounders plus more, even with this year's being #1 and Caleb there for the taking. And no, I wouldn't even pay attention to the offers.
I don't think the Bears would do the deal, honestly. They would get an extra year of (I assume) Caleb Williams + the 9th pick + whatever else the Texans would want. I think they would prefer that - as would most teams. Plus, if they do take Williams, they can trade Fields for a nice return and that team is going to be pretty good pretty quickly.
it’s all fake too, if some fake tmz story comes out about cj stroud doing something bad when he was in high school or something. Watch at how they destroy cj stroud overnight. meanwhile if something of the similar sort happens to a qb like Lamar Jackson, watch at how they come out and claim, “we don’t have all the facts.” Because the bias sports media protects poc qbs who run around like Lamar Jackson and publicly destroy black qbs that stand in the pocket like cj stroud and to a lesser extent geno smith( let’s see who the new coach for the Seahawks is) but I’m already putting money on geno being benched early next season. I don’t believe Pete Carroll just randomly decided to stop coaching, I believe that was an nfl decision. The same bs happened when Sean Payton left Jameis Winston after Winston got injured in 2020
