What is he completely right about exactly? ACA was mostly a set of standards for private companies to follow with some subsidies from the government to do xyz + expanding Medicaid. I'm not really sure if it actually sped up consolidation or it merely continued because there's really not much you described that wasn't already happening. ACA was always a starting off point that has been caught in limbo since Obama rolled it out.

It's 40 bucks a month per kid, for 3 months, for families with children that are making under 55k a year, for the people wanting/willing to apply for an EBT card to access it, in only 35 states (not Texas). My hair remains uncombusted. My only question/complaint is if 40 bucks a month is really worth going through the trouble of creating a "program", with today's grocery prices. Almost seems like a virtue signal instead of real help. Perhaps it might just be more of a public ad to get people who qualify in the door on EBT perhaps? Which ain't a terrible thing. We saw what the extended child tax credit did for child poverty, if we want to act seriously about the problem. Also relevant to remember, is that the USA does embarrassingly have one of the highest child poverty rates among all Western countries.
