I have a feeling they're going to cut ties with Jalen at the deadline. There's usually a surprise trade and with the emergence of Cam and Jalen being due for a contract soon, it's probably better to trade him before his value keeps decreasing.

Trading Jalen will be like Knicks trading RJ - the he does this

    37 pts on 13-20 (5-8 from 3. 6-8 free throws), 6 reb, 6 assists

RJ is saying he heard what everyone (fans, Knick players, Clyde) were saying -- OG great & ball moving more freely since he left

RJ is saying he was 3rd option in NY; had to mind his p's & q's

But the Knicks are 4-0 since trading him?

RJ Barrett had similar games for the Knicks as well. It doesn't change the fact that he's a low bbiq shot chucker, and he'll go back to his old self and start finishing games with 4/19 FG just like Jalen.

I'm officially out on Jalen, i thought he's the highest ceiling guy with the superstar upside but no amount of athleticism can't cover his lack of basketball IQ.

The Rockets should trade him before he's a RFA and get something in return.

Jalen and even RJ are not really finished products yet.....Knicks just wanted to go with a defender in OG Anunoby....

I'm not sure his performance is proof that the Knicks where using him wrong. It's certainly worth noting the performance but I'm not sure that's evidence enough to prove the problem was coaching. It might just be the wrong group of individuals for him to play with. Basketball is so reliant on player and chemistry (good luck quantifying that!) that maybe that's the answer. I'm not saying "it is" I'm just saying a few great games does not an argument prove.

Also, we saw similar games, like the ones RJ is having as a Raptor, out of Jalen at the end of his first year and in flashes last year. Does this prove that Silas was a better coach than Udoka? Because your argument would seem to suggest this.

I could be convinced to hop on the trade Jalen train. I think he deserves the full year with Ime, but if I were betting on Jalen panning out to be a star, I’d bet against. Mainly I’ve lost faith in him because I don’t think he’s mentally tough enough to be a star. He’s a confidence player who isn’t confident. Huge swings; the highs are high and the lows are low. He disappears and when his shot isn’t falling (which is often), he’s not providing much of anything on the floor. Swapping out Jalen for Cam definitely wins us more games. Swapping out Jalen for a Brogdon or a Gary Trent Jr wins us even more games.

I don’t think Jalen gets moved until the offseason, and I don’t trust Stone to pull off a good deal for Houston, but I wouldn’t lose sleep over trading Jalen for a decent return. I’d rather give Cam Jalen’s minutes at this point.

Jalen underperforming this year could be a blessing in disguise to lock him for a reasonable extension. Different situation but Curry's minor extension due to injury concerns is the reason GS could afford Durant.

What? Durant took a paycut if I remember correctly.

GSW trust Curry completely, they would give him Super Max blindfolded.....

it's pretty common knowledge mate... that's why the warriors were hesitant to go all-in on curry.

What injuries did he have other than his ankle issues but are ankle issues really career threatening?

Curry was not all that great pre-2011-12 I think, he was a good player but still not the Curry we knew today.

I think that is the real reason they first gave him a rather small- ish contract first.
