Seems clear to me his "lawyers" have given up entirely. They are citing his "Truth Social" posts as evidence in the case that he was acting in the "outer perimeter" of his presidential duties in trying to overturn democracy because he believed there was voter fraud???

How in the hell is the court not considering this a frivolous lawsuit/appeal and sanctioning Trump's lawyers?? This is a joke on all fronts, and a mockery to the rule of law in every sense.

Seriously lawyers should be disbarred for this. You can just abandon professional ethics because your client wants you to.

I could lose my license if I did so.

Doesn't sound like trump's immunity argument is going well...

That this is even being discussed in a court of law is testament to insanity of donald trump and his assault on democracy, the constitution, the rule of law.

Could a President use his DOJ to falsely imprison a political rival on bogus charges? Because that's what Biden is doing.

Liberals truly have no self-awareness at all.

trump's argument... presidents are above the law... and need immunity for those time as president they know they will break the law. Oh, and his case, also after their time as president.

In reading many of these comments and arguments from the left, it reminds me of how low level employees of a company would form arguments and advance positions. Emotional, little basis in fact, poor perspective, limited self-awareness, below average communication skills. Republican arguments would come from a well-reasoned, long-term perspective, policies that benefit society type of perspective. Like what senior management is entrusted to do.

If we had our constitution to do over again, I would grant 1 vote for every 1 dollar of taxes paid. Similar to shareholders voting their shares at a corporate annual meeting. This would correct the issue that we have with "my dumb opinion is equally valuable at the ballot box as your informed opinion." I think the racial strife that currently exists in America would go away quickly because Democrats and the media would no longer have reason to promote it under this voting system.

Since trump's lawyers had no real legal leg to stand on... they instead attempted to turn their argument into a stump speech for trump. Again, no respect at all for the rule of law... its all simply to get trump protection from prosecution.

Funny... during the impeachment, his attorney claimed the time to try trump for crimes committed was after his presidency in courts of law. Now that he is out of office, they claim the only time to try trump would be via impeachment, not in a court of law...

Trump's Counsel (Castor) at Senate impeachment trial arguing that the president “is subject to criminal sanction after his Presidency for any illegal acts he commits"

Trump's position: The former POTUS has absolute immunity from criminal prosecutions unless he was impeached and convicted by the Senate.

Judge Pan: What if the POTUS ordered Seal Team 6 to murder his political opponent (and, for whatever reason, he wasn't impeached and convicted by Congress)? Could he be prosecuted for that?

    Trump's lawyer: Wouldn't answer.

That's according to LawFareBlog/Media, which I trust more than any tweet. Trump's lawyer not answering that question tells you how much they actually believe in absolute immunity and where this is going based on merit.

All of this is a Hail Mary, but, more importantly, it's about delaying, delaying, delaying.

His lawyers are playing to a one man audience. As long as they appease him they can stick around.........no matter how stupid they look
