He’s running out of roster. A problem we have is a lack of depth, compounded by some incredibly young and inexperienced players (who I think will improve). The absence of two of our best, Dillon and Tari, is exposing it. That’s on Stone and I hope he does something about it. Ime can’t run players like Fred and Uncle Jeff into the ground.

yeah, trotting out Cam and Amen might be fun for us to watch them develop, but it's not really going to win you too many games if you play them extended minutes against great teams.

Think the coaches has raised the floor of the current roster. Maximized what they could so far. Motivation is a button that can be pushed, but i think the loss last night is less on lack of effort, but more on the skill gap and inexperience.

Was one of those losses that I'm not too upset about. With adjustments MIA made, there are likely many takeaways the team can use to learn from and evolve.

With the way some of these MIA players move around. The cutting, the relocations, there're offensive wrinkles this team can borrow from. Defensively, seeing how MIA players likes to take charges, some of our guys tried to do some too last night.

It's like playing chess, you get better by playing against players better than you and and maybe see strategies this group of players haven't yet.

    Learning opportunity.

The depth was fine against the Heat. The Rockets outplayed the Heat by 7 when at least one bench player was in. Even with Tate, the Rockets were only -4. The Rockets just didn't have anyone breaking the Heat defense causing them to scramble.

This was a game that the Rockets needed Jabari to be healthy and able to make tough shots. Sengun was able to get his, but he wasn't creating for others as Heat played him very well. It was a struggle even though he ended up with decent numbers.

Got beaten by one of the most underrated NBA coach ever. Won division 9x out of 15 seasons yet all we hear is Popovich, Kerr and Malone.

Yeah I think people are overreacting about the depth and youth of Cam and Amen. They just beat the Bucks the other night with Giannis having a monster game and most of that game they were up double digits. Like I said earlier in this thread, if Jalen and Jabari just hit 5 more shots combined this is a different game and people are talking about the toughness and resilience the team showed to beat the Heat on the road when we had an off night.

Even if Jalen and Jabari hit 5 more shots, the Heat would have outplayed the Rockets, and lost by luck despite the narrative changing. FVV made the game closer than it should have been. The Heat created better shots as the Rockets couldn't protect the rim and the 3 point line on the same possession often. Heat seemed to contest most shots well even thought they did have few rare breakdowns giving up open threes.

The Rockets were missing Eason and Brooks bigly and the guards are still learning how to be consistent on offense. The Heat walled off the paint and the Rockets took open 3s and didn't make them. They didn't run people off the 3 point line on the other end when that's exactly the shots their white boys want. Onto the next one.

We have our 2 best defender out, so naturally Tate gets more minutes. Also with Miami bombarding 3's feeding Sengun for layups makes no sense. We needed defense & 3pt shooting. Ime did what he could and I'm glad you're not coaching this team

People sometimes ignore that Udoka is also a young coach, kind of rookie, only second year in charge.

He tries his best but you can't buy experience. He will learn how to adapt game by game, will produce a second plan and won't throw the towel when Rockets down by 10. I remember our third strings were playing against Durant&Booker because the team was down 10 (of course difference grow afterthat).

Good boy but still needs more experience. Pain of growth.
