No matter what Trump and his far right people say, data defies Trump’s claims that refugees and asylees burden taxpayers.

In fact, researchers found that during the 10 years between 2005 and 2014, refugees and asylees here from 1980 on contributed $63 billion more to government revenues than they used in public services. Because of taxes they paid, refugees and their family members contributed more than $343 billion in revenue to federal, state and local coffers. On balance, refugees contributed $63 billion more than they received in benefits from various programs.

While funny, I don't think sharing this is good. First of all, it is disingenuous as there were several people there. Second, it is dangerous to pretend people like MTG are just some insignificant fringe figures. That is how we underestimate MAGA at every turn.

 

I'd love to be her ghostwriter. You could put whatever you wanted in that book, and she'd never know.

Not much of a difference is still a difference. She's more popular than you give her credit for.

 

I'm in Central GA, and lots of people here love her too. I will never understand it, but there is a non-zero chance she is going to be VP next year.

 

Trump will not want a VP that steals any of his spotlight, so MTG is out. Maybe Elise Stefanik since she is infinitely forgettable?

 

She religiously follows him, which I feel like is what he wants. True that he would be pissed of she took any of his spotlight.

 

I can't see him choosing a female running mate that isn't attractive. He cares too much about how photos look.
