So sad that Luka Garza was the man on those Iowa Hawkeye teams when the Murray Twins were freshman. My how the tables have turned. The Twins were lottery picks and Garza is a 4th string power forward. Slowest dude in the BIG, and that is saying something.

    Then it reverted

Better than hesitating and turning the ball over.

I'd rather he do that if he's shooting more than like 35% than be meekly passive or force low percentage shots inside amongst the trees like he has many games this year.

My Summary of the T-Wolves game:

1 T-Wolves are a very big team. Rockets are smallish. Their size in the paint was impossible to overcome with a short-handed roster.

2 Because the T-Wolves always have a 7-footer standing in the paint, their perimeter defenders can attack and not worry so much about being beaten. A veteran, cohesive disciplined team can beat that scheme. Rockets aren't there yet and won't be this season.

2 Tate's negatives were on full display. He destroyed the offence and made the Rockets very easy to guard. Hence, only 95 points.

3 In conjunction with #2, missing both Dillon Brooks and Tari made winning tonight impossible. Either guy forces the other team to defend. Tate is a deadweight.

4 As I suggested in another thread, they must move Tate for a backup C that can rebound and contest shots.

5 Aside from extreme sloppiness on offense in the 1st half, I think the Rockets did OK before the bottom finally fell out.

He is making good decisions most of the time. He clearly does have a good idea of what he should be doing, and it's clear Ime Udoka thinks so too based on how much he's getting to play. Some of the skills (mainly shooting, and to a lesser degree, ballhandling) do need some work, but I don't think G-League is going to do him much good. He just needs reps, both in practice and at game time.

He looks like Santa Claus the whole year. And he gives out gifts to the younger players.

He is decent at passing out to shooters making the correct read from the pnr. That's the one thing he does consistently well. But everything else on offense has looked pretty bad. You can tell he has the ability one day to make consistent spectacular finishes but now he's just doesn't know how to use his body to finish.

It's hard to generate 3's when you have no threats on drives. They were playing our guards really far out on the perimeter.
