Yao is another anomaly like Sengun with his combination of height, shooting touch, mobility and balance. Rockets fans are lucky to have all of Hakeem, Yao and Sengun now.
Wemby yes, Chet I think no. Sarr, don't know much about him. Sengun is kind of a reverse anomaly. Doesn't look good at first but he is fantastic.
Yes, I meant in the sense of, when you look at Yao, Wemby, or Sengun you don't expect to see what they actually can do. With chet, I am not that surprised to see what he can do.
Yao was actually pretty mobile when he was thinner and younger.... He bulked up and got injured...... Senjoon midrange has improved.
Yeah, that's what I saw in the highlights video. He looks amazing. I am guessing the vision back then was to turn him into a traditional center by bulking up. He was just unlucky, ahead of his time.

He is literally beating everyone's expectations at everything. If what he did was expected, he would not be drafted at 16, he wouldn't be benched for Bruno Fernando, some posters wouldn't think Landale could eat his minutes. Always found that comparing him and Mobley is an insult for Alp.Always opposed to Hakeem94 when he/she proposed to send him to Vipers. Man, I wish Yao had Adelman as a coach earlier in his career. JVG made him bulk up and made him less versatile and more injury prone.
He did fine guarding Kat but Gobert was just too big for him. He apparently has 7'9 wingspan good lord you just try to be as physical as you can against him and hope he misses his shot.
Alp and Jabari are still boys compared to those two, height/length wasn’t as big a deal as them just being lightweights. They have to get stronger to offset not having elite length
