these 2 So-Calif GOP law makers are up for re-election in 2024; polls indicate that they're goners

Young Kim and Michelle Steele, both won election in 2022 in swing districts, by a narrow margin, unseating a Dem. Biden won by a much bigger margin in their respective districts
    [IMG]

Dominic Ng, the CEO of the largest bank based in So Cal, has been a life-long Republican. he was the subject of a a convenient racist attack by right-wing extremist media, "Daily Caller", solely because he is of Chinese descent.

Texas GOPer Gooden's repeated that racist attack in the hall of Congress. While fellow Calif Congress woman, Judy Chu, a Dem, condemned Gooden's convenient character assasination, these 2 Asain GOPers were silent.

it has been reported that both Steele and Kim had voted for insurrectionist / election deniers / anti-abortion Gym Jordan and then Mike Johnson for speaker. https://www.latimes.com/politics/st...fornia-republicans-put-tribe-ahead-of-country

they are up for re-election in 2024, in view of these developments, their prospects in their respective swing district are on shaky grounds

If they were to ever TRY and pass anything substantial, they would be in trouble........but we know they don't think their job is to do that, it's to tweet all day about the fake Biden corruption..............hey, the sheep have to eat everyday and the gop has to conform to the cult leader. We will see how that strategy pays off later this year

Each time you think mtg can't get any more despicable, she proves you wrong...

Florida venue cancels Marjorie Taylor Greene event after learning of its Jan. 6 focus
The event was originally promoted as a book-signing hosted by a local Republican Party.

Important to note that If still Speaker.... Mike Johnson will absolutely refuse to call for a vote to certify the election if Biden wins.

The sun will rise tomorrow from the East
    The earth will be round
Whataburger will be better than In and Out
    A&M will still suck

    and

Trump will file lawsuits, claim that the election was rigged, and the House of Representatives will have to have a Speaker that falls in line, and tries to force a house state by state vote per the contested election section on the constitution.

Having a Republican Speaker of the House come next January is a danger to our Democracy. Having a Democratic Senate, and VP helps, but it does not negate the absolute chaos that a Speaker of the House can and will create.

While I hope scalise's treatment is successful, it is true he opposed stem cell research in 2020.

That'd cause some grief. And maybe Johnson will do a little to help Trump if he can do it with plausible deniability. But I don't assume he's going to brazenly ignore his duties. Not many people, even in politics, are as sociopathic as Trump.

Just watched a special with women and their husbands talking about the nightmares, pain, and suffering they went through travelling to save their lives when their life was at risk, and they couldn't get care in Texas, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, etc. Those men running red states disgust me when it comes to their pregnancy laws and abortions. They have no right to decide who lives or dies when it comes to pregnant mothers. They don't care if the mother could die, the baby probably won't live, or if that baby is putting the mother at risk of dying. Vote those Republicans out people.

Saving a baby with a brain of mush and organs growing outside it's body, a baby without a skull, and babies not expected to live through pregnancy, should not be expected to be carried full term when the mother is put at severe risk during the pregnancy. Paxton and Abbott are some really disturbing men. Why do people vote for guys like that? Mothers, Parents with daughters, and anyone who cares about their spouse's life shouldn't vote Republican.

Sure and your house could be valued at $1 by someone so if they destroy it, why should they pay more? Just because other people set it's value higher? It's all subjective!

Go light the Mona Lisa on fire and see what happens. Say it's not worth anything by YOUR standards so why should you have to pay other people's standards.

Then come back here and tell us the Mona Lisa has 0 value.

He's got the same mindset as Abbott and Paxton. What a twisted analogy. Women aren't just disposable breeding vessels, you force to carry a baby that could kill them if left inside their body for 9 months. Who are they to treat them as such? The story was about women who would have died if they hadn't found someone several states away to give them an abortion. One was told she could have died within an hour by the time she flew there and got help. Imagine having the money or resources to travel 1,200 miles to seek care, because a majority group of men in Texas won't allow medical facilities and doctors in your state to treat you.

Even the doctors are so afraid of losing their license or worse if they abort the babies to save the mothers in this state. Many gynecologists are steering clear of red states, because of it, and there are going to be shortages. This is a majority group of men running these states who won't ever know what it's like to go through what these women and their husbands endured, and they don't care. The details of what they endured were horrible, and too graphic to talk about. They don't care.

Politicians have no right to act like they are God, and above doctors, women, or anyone else in making choices over who can live or die. The sick part is that many of them can't even keep it in their pants outside their marriage, and don't bear the burdens of what happens after the fact. They don't even know what it's like to live someone so much you don't want them to die when there is a way to save them. Ken Paxton is a prime example.

Huh, you sound like the sheep. What are you even talking about? Biden is corrupt, republicans are corrupt. Calling Trump fans "cult." You sound like you have CNN on constant run in your house. I make fun of my dad for the same Fox News crap he spouts off. This made my day.

Joe Biden’s administration and the past Dem majority in Congress passed more bills that help regular citizens than any other in the past 20 years. The GOP is corrupt to their core and they are not the same…only a fool or cult follower would parrot that bullshit.

    American Rescue Plan
    Bipartisan infrastructure bill
    Gun safety bill
    CHIPS act
    Inflation reduction act
