The whole conspiracy theory of “Jan 6 was just a peaceful protest” line is the ultimate test of American stupidity. If this really does become a thing in the mainstream then there really is no hope for our country.

Jan 6 insurrectionists literally filmed it and posted live for the world to see. There are hours and hours of video clear as day. If people CHOOSE to live in that fantasy that the Jan 6ers are hero’s or victims then we are truly fcked. I could make a better case that the earth is flat.

I was listening to an interview with some
Capitol Hill LEO and they pointed out the Bizzarro World of where those who rioted to try to overturn an election are heroes and hostages while those who defended the Capitol are the oppressors and kidnappers

 

I feel like the right wing conspiracies started out as a Russian propaganda techniques ("Firehose of Falsehood"). Then our own politicians ran with because they either figured out it worked (Ted Cruise types), or they are stupid and believe it (MTG types). Now it has become self reinforcing and half the population has brain worms.

 

The insurrection was so obvious that the theme for that first half year was "forgiveness" and "healing".

Those clowns just wanted the shock to die down before they incepted lies to redirect outrage.

The comments are pretty amazing. You had some people on the 5th calling out Trump for sedition and inciting violence. And MAGA saying they are going to fight for their country. Somehow 3 years later the leaders have not been held accountable for an attack that was tweeted and live streamed.
