The rebuild plan is too optimistic if it is almost done lol, what team turned their franchise around in 3 yrs without lucking into a generational player? It takes a lot of time to rebuild from the ground and CF being CF clearly has no idea what is going on.
I think you're missing the point is not just the draft. They will have cap space for 2 quality starters AND another high draft pick. They have assets to trade for contracts without taking salary back if the free agents aren't to our liking. Mix in a new coach and there should be marked improvement moving forward...

I'll admit, I may have jumped the gun after his "PRAY FOR VICTOR" commit but we as fans deserve more. At the conclusion of the season, we deserve to know that there is a Plan B that does not include Silas. A plan that includes going hard after FAs and if we "PRAY FOR VICTOR" and don't get him that they just won't continue to use TANKING as the only method of trying to get better.
People just casually forget it and think things will magically fix themselves. I want to live with that bliss.

I really think Silas gets a year to show what he can do without the tank. Think, even a much improved team could miss the playoffs and they could go for their playoff coach then. Or he brings them to the show and earns an extension. I think I favor the idea that you could have cap room to sign the necessary veterans but also give the guys already on the roster a contract when they earn it. Like how stupid would it be to blow all this money and not be able to keep a Tari Eason when he starts ascending?
Not saying it's what I would do necessarily. I think the Rockets will though. If nothing this season did it what would?
