I knew Vanguard wasn't going to be offering their own ETF, but apparently they aren't even supporting any of the other BTC ETFs on their platform.

I'm closing my accounts with them and moving to Fidelity so I can allocate properly.

Sad. I've been with Vanguard for years.

 

They said they wouldn't support any crypto-related stuff back in December.

 

From what I read it wasn't entirely clear. Question is answered now though. Onward.

Nah, they basically came out and stated that they wouldn't participate. There was another big money manager that also said they wouldn't, but they were somewhat vague about it, I think. Can't remember who that one was, though.

 

They dont have a gold etf either. Pensions and 401k's are their thing. Locking up 401k's is a scam.

 

Fidelity has been mining bitcoin since about 2014. They also self custody the Bitcoin in their Bitcoin ETF unlike everyone else using coinbase.

 

Yeah, that's part of why I chose them. Out of all the legacy players, they seem to have their heads on straightest.
