Ehh...... not sure how you reach a lot of those conclusions, but okay. Kawhi hasn't really treated Harden like a subordinate, they have basically let Harden be Harden when he wants to... and Kawhi and George have done the same thing. They are very egalitarian in how they do things, which isn't a shock with Ty Lue.
If you think about it, all Harden was ever on ......Contending threats but never Favorite to win it all....
Amount of articles/tweets/comments/podcasts about the Clippers first 5 games w/Harden vs. the last 20 games w/Harden almost makes me think there's something about the way he is perceived by the league's takemakers that doesn't quite add up...
damn I wish we had signed this dude instead of FVV…guaranteed 5th seed in the West and far more entertaining than Frederick
Good for him showing he's still got it, but let's be honest here: all that coming out of shape into camp was something we especially as Rockets fans should've been able to see through. We knew he could still do this during the regular season. It's always been about the play-offs and now with 2 guys who can get a bucket anytime, surely he should be able to get far. Definitely kudos for Ty Lue to make it work. I just couldn't really care less about the Clippers winning a title. Didn't care for our All-Star mash-up from 96 onwards and definitely do not care for it now. I won't go all petty like some people who do not want to acknowledge's KD's rings, because the Warriors won without him, but I have little care for winning a title like that. Always prefer a team growing organically and if they make a trade for an All-Star so be it. I respect it way more, but in the end KD has his ring, Harden & WB might get theirs and happy for them. Just not my cup of tea. Rather win with this bunch like the Warriors did pre-KD.
Good....because it would not be a cakewalk......the Clips are still a team among 5-6 contenders and not the Numero Uno. I do not trust them to be healthy at the same time.
Here's the thing . . . . you can be an amazingly talented hall of famer . . . . without being a closer That will be Harden's legacy . . . .simply he was just not a closer MEANWHILE the Clippers have a closer in Kawhi (I won't say PG13 or Westbrook are closers either) Rocket River
could have had harden lead us to greatness but nah now we just have folks btching about needing to replace green as fvv gets a pass for his solid but lackluster performances
I've grown to like Fred and what he can do really well, enough not to hate his contract and in some ways more important than anyone else in the team. That being said, Harden is currently still better than Fred. A lot better.
Here's the thing . . . FVV got his championship because he played with a CLOSER The same one that Harden is playing with now . . .. Kawhi! Rocket River
Fred is solid, but he’s very boring to me…he’s plain oatmeal…he’s unseasoned boiled broccoli Harden is significantly better and more impactful…plus he plays with flair and unmatched creativity on the court I can only imagine behind the back and between the legs dimes to Sengun, alley oops to Jalen, and bounce passes through tight spaces to Jabari…not to mention the crossovers, 4 point plays, etc
That would be cool, but do those players develop with Harden spoon-feeding them baskets and being the system? Doubtful. Seems like Harden is fine where he's at and the Rockets are fine with vanilla VanVleet.
y’all really need to stop with this Harden wouldn’t be spoon-feeding them every single basket as they just stand there doing nothing not developing
Still doubtful. Especially Sengun. The other two may not pan out as stars either way, but they're given opportunities to that they wouldn't have with Harden.
Touches per game FVV : 81.2 Harden : 72.6 Time of possession per game FVV : 6.9 minutes Harden : 6.5 minutes Minutes per game FVV : 37.0 Harden : 34.0 Im happy with FVV and did not want Harden to comeback. Definitely argue that if Harden is here over FVV his numbers are a bit higher then they are with the clippers, but I think the idea that Harden is this rigid player whose presence completely makes so everything is about him on the court and kills development of younger guys really isn’t based in reality.
Jabari barely gets the rock and takes 10 shots a game…Exactly what opportunity is he currently getting? Jalen, the guy who needs all the public assistance in the world just to establish himself as starting caliber, let alone star Sengun would be thriving even more next to Harden
It's not about the amount of shots. Soon enough, we'll know for sure who those two are. We'll know because they've been given the chance to prove if they're special or basic. We'll just have to disagree on Sengun.
Could you show me which players have developed with Harden? I admit I'm biased against the style of basketball he plays, so I'm probably just missing some players.
