Never had the chance to draft Chet so not sure what the point of this even is. Also Jabari is pretty awesome lol. Not like we ended up with Zaire Williams or something.
Chet was Stone's No 1 as well but he was the only one I was sure wasn't gonna be a Rocket. He wasn't going past Presti, Presti even drafted Pokusevski. Regardless he was the only dude among the 3 I didn't like. No matter how good he is now the health concerns are a major red flag to me esp after he had a season ending injury after Lebron blew by him in the off-season. I just don't think guys with frames like Wemby, Chet and even Mobley gonna have more than a decade long career whereas with Jabari and Banchero we got so many examples Lebron, Melo, Horford, LMA etc Hell Wemby had foot fractures before he even came to the NBA. Guys that tall shouldn't be playing in the NBa.
He's really not a rookie though. He's had a full year to get acclimated to the league, unlike actual rookies.
No but last year ... I have no reason to believe that Holgren will have ongoing injury issues, but bigs sometimes do.
I think Shawn Bradley was mostly healthy and then ended up in a wheel chair when he was 40 or something.

The crazy thing about the OKC rebuild and why Presti is the best GM on the planet is they completed their rebuild without even touching their bajillion picks. SGA who was supposed to be a Caris Levert type of throw away suddenly became a super star and they also lucked onto Chet. With Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace also outplaying their draft spot their young core is suddenly the best in the NBA. Now I'm interested to see where they go from here cuz those picks are gonna have to be traded or used in the next couple of years. Next 2 years alone they have 8 FRPs and that's not even including second rounders lol. I guess they have a hole at Center so they can play Chat at PF, but I'm not sure which super star center is available for a trade and their 8 picks are mostly low or protected FRPs. Maybe they can try get somebody like Naz Reid or Walker Kessler.
And the crazy thing is that they let Josh Giddey play through his minor age case........and he is doing enough to win games....not kiddeying.
Super happy to watch Chet on a team that is not the Rockets, because he is such a cringe-y dork. I wish him well! OKC has a powerhouse brewing over there.
I meant the other posts. Just a weird hypothetical pining over someone we didn't have the chance to draft. We didn't do too bad any of these drafts.
Basically you want another 7 foot guy who can do all the things a guard can do.....Alpe is the next best thing..... Everyone wants that....no worries. Everyone should be sour but guess life is short and being sour does not accomplish anything.... Chet, Paolo, Bari.....all those will be good .......approved. I do not get into this who will be better stuff like my life does not depend on that.
