Made me wish I had just quit watching the game at halftime. No excuse is right! That was sickening.

I'm really bummed about that game. I think I could have lived with the loss if Jalen would've shot the 3 and missed. The fact that he just gave up and passed it to Landale of all people... It was some Ben Simmons type ****. And it's extra annoying because he had a fantastic game up until that point.

I'm bummed it makes your bid to be a Jalen Green Only Fan more unlikely. Here's to the next lost cause . . .

He didn't give up lol dude had 2 guys on him. His pass to Landale was the correct play cuz guess what FVV Holiday and Tate all wide open.

If he took that 3 and missed pretty sure all the posters here would hate on him saying why he took such a bad shot and didn't pass to open guys. Lol can you guys stop it? No way you would be OK for Jalen to take that contested 3 over 2 guys and missing you are all lying I'm sure you'd be pulling out your hair saying how dumb and selfish Jalen is if that happened.

How is that similar to Ben simmons who had an open layup? Lol wtf do you guys even watch basketball?

He had no room to take the shot. He made the right play. Landale had a wide open Holiday in the corner and chose to take a layup with 2 seconds left in the game trailing by 3. That is the definition of bonehead.

passing to a bum like Jock down 2 isn’t the right play…that’s basically a turnover

    know your personnel

I would’ve much rather Jalen take that contested shot…I’ll live with that make or miss, not that dusty ass scrub Landale making decisions

if Harden passed it to Capela to make a game winning play, nobody here would be like “good play by Harden”…

I’m not sure it wasn’t drawn up that way. Landale had 2 guys that were wide open. You can’t blame Jalen for making they right read. You can blame Ime for having Jock in the game at all. Je Green would have made the pass to the corner.

Exactly. Jeff Green is not a guy who would have dear in the headlights look in that situation.

I blame Ime the most for having Jock in the game in the 1st place, but if I’m Green there’s no way I’m passing the ball to Jock Landale of all people down 3 with little time left on the clock

I knew the game was immediately over the second the ball ended up in his hands

Basketball is not a game that can only be explained with statistics, sometimes you make bad statistics but what you do is right. Only luck was not on your side that day. The problem with Jalen is a bit like embiid, embiid is a great player but he used to have a problem like this, he used to do 2 good things, then he would go and start making the most ridiculous shots in the world, embiid solved this problem to a great extent, Jalen is similar, he is doing a good job, Then he goes and continues to make stupid shots, if there were players like Jokic and LeBron in the team, Jalen wouldn't be able to do these, he would play right.

Udoka gave specific instructions that if a Jalen play breaks down, go to the open big. He made the play that was asked.

I still wish he took the shot but I'm glad he's being a team player for now.

Excellent game by Jalen last night. Too few and far between unfortunately. But good to see.

I don't blame him for passing to Bumdale. Bumdale didn't set the screen and rolled so they doubled Green so he had to pass the ball to someone and that someone was unfortunately Bumdale. Bumdale should have passed it to someone waiting on the perimeter but instead went for the layup and missed that like imagine refusing to do the only right thing on the court just to bottle doing the wrong thing. 7ft tall for nothing. If he was a giraffe he would die within a week in the wild because he wouldn't be able to grab the leaves with his tongue. He would keep airtongueing. He is incredibly lucky to be born as a human because someone will definitely look after you in this world. Even if you are homeless the ppl will bring you food, give you money. Depending on the country they might even give give you home. If reincarnation is real as they say he is in real trouble.

He passed to the open big man, I guess u can blame green for not thinking lockdale was that stupid. Almost all players wont go for 2 when u are down 3 with open players at the corner.

Jalen has been tasked to make correct basketball plays and not hero ball. In crunch time he made the correct read, despite the pressure. I think this is a good sign that some better habbits are becoming more natural to Jalen.

Landale messed up in crunch time, but I hardly blame him. He barely plays and was thrown into the fire by having the ball in his hands in crunch time. As many posters said, Jeff Green made more sense to be in the game.

Ime must have thought Landale was a bigger screen to create more space for Jalen and not anticipated that they would jump him with a double.

I get it, but that shot Jalen had was maybe 10% probability of going in for anyone other that Curry or Lilliard. The execution of the play was horrible and I think most of that on Landale. Anyway, it was just one game and Jalen has looked very good the last two games. Hope it is a sign of things to come. He is still having trouble with physical play an I hope that is the next thing he overcomes.

That’s why Uncle Jeff should have been in the game rather than Landale. Know your personnel to Udoka. Also would have preferred Cam to Tate out there down by 3 with seconds to go.

Younger Lebron made similar plays - that’s how Dallas won a title against Miami - they forced Lebron to make the right reads and put the ball in guys like Mario Chalmers hands when it mattered the most. Harden had a few series like that as well. It’s making players think about the play that has the best chance of scoring rather than the best read and for star players sometimes that means you gotta keep it.

What is critical here is that Jalen accepts Alpere's offensive leadership. Let me give you an example: Could Denver have been successful if Murray hadn't accepted Jokic's leadership and played the way he wanted? It definitely couldn't happen, Alperen is not at Jokic's level, maybe he will never come, I don't know, but if Jalen wants to be successful, he will be positioned on the field according to Alperen. Because Alperen is not a selfish player, he does not want to use every ball, Jalen should not miss this opportunity, no one in another team will do him such a favor, he must be smart.

I am beginning to wonder if his struggles are related to reduced touches - IE with Brooks out he moves up the pecking order and gets the ball more often.
