It's time to start thinking about moving Jalen before the deadline

you can tell he’s not happy with the media. He’s obviously sensitive about his performance. I haven’t seen evidence that Jalen is mentally strong enough to turn this thing around. If he doesn’t improve this season he may need a change of scenery to get right. The expectations are really weighing on him.

 

If we actually listen (might need subtitles) to what Jalen's saying, he's saying the right things as he usually does.

But it's easier to say the right thing than to do the right thing. The platitudes of "I'll take it as a lesson" and "I'll keep believing in myself" are great and all but they're only words until put into action

 

I think he knows his time may be up soon if he don’t get better. I’ve been wanting to trade him for the longest but part of me feels for him and wants him to pull through

Houston has the softest media. Any other place he is getting burned.

 

Why? Ivey has sucked also. The only way to trade Jalen is in a package with picks and other filler to get somebody that will make a difference. Not too many comments ago, you said just let him go. Your logic concerning Jalen is bordering on incoherent.

Totally! If Houston is too much pressure, hard to think of some place that would be easier on him. But at least the expectations that come with being the #2 draft pick (our highest pick since Yao) would be gone. Any team that trades for him would likely have lowered expectations.

 

In Detroit, he might be the featured guy again.
His numbers would probably improve also.

 

How about trading Thompson and Green to Detroit for Thompson and Green Jr.?

You know, I was just looking at the shooting splits and realized the Rockets would be better off with Dillon Brooks taking Jalen's shots. And like a lot better off. Who would've thunk it?

 

This is concerning to me in a serious way. He needs to get an mri head scan. I don't remember him slurring this bad.

 

I still think it's more prudent to be patient at this point, but yet predatory.

I still like Dejounte Murray a lot. Not sure if the Hawks would want Green, might need a third team. However, the Hawks are in a tough spot. I'd be tempted to take on Capela if it meant we save a decent FRP. We'd roll with both FVV and Capela for 2023 and 2024 then they could come off the books.
