I do agree the Rockets don't have a transformative superstar type of player yet. I don't think we can say none of our guys will become such a player, but I don't think that's what @Nook was trying to say. Sengun is the closest, but his current level of play is more like a borderline all-star. He needs to take another big step to reach the level we're talking about. That is certainly possible, but not guaranteed. Talking like it's a sure thing is putting on either your homer blinders or your nationalist blinders.
It just seems like there are so few easy teams in the league this year, almost every night we are up against very good squads.
By slump I mean in his first 2 years he has gone through a stretch where he can barely score and then busts out of it by putting together a string of 20 plus (sometimes 30 plus) point games.
Killed on the boards and in the paint in general for most of the game. Hopefully people (SOFs) see how valuable Brooks (and Freddy/Udoka) are to this defense and to please stop implying that Sengun as an "anchor" is somehow the cause. This team wins when everyone does their part. This team loses when even one guy slacks off. There is no killer on this team who can take over a game. You cant expect a Sengun shot diet of baby hooks and sub 10 feet shots even at ultra efficient levels to keep you in games against the 3 point shot when you refuse to rebound or protect the rim EVEN WHEN HOU HITS 40+% FROM DEEP LIKE LAST NIGHT!! Its damn near negligent to have a team with players like Jalen Green, Amen Thompson, Jabari, Cam, Tari etc... to be 23rd in pace. We should be running after every rebound with these guys on the court. Drafting freedom of movement players to turn them into spot up shooters and decoys is wild.
Phoenix shot 57% from the field and Durant had 16 assists. Seems like the lack of DB was the issue here. Was box score watching and figured it was an L the minute Amen/Cam were on the floor at the same time against actual NBA players.
bana küfür edildi . ben de cevabını verdim. benim yazımı değil,bana küfür edilen yazıyı alıntı yapsana. işine gelmiyor sanırım. adam benim anneme küfür etti, ben de cevap verdim. bir daha ederse ,yine küfür edeceğim. haydi şimdi çevir bunu google translate'den.
It is insane that we have one of the most athletic group of young players in the league (hell, Jalen, Amen and Cam might all be top 10 athletes, certainly top 15-20 at the worst) and we play old man ball all game long. We need to find a way to play high energy defense AND high energy offense sometimes. If the plan coming into the season was a future Amen/Jalen back court then somebody should've realised that taking 2 super fast and hyper athletic players and slowing them to half speed removes the advantages they bring to the table.
The funniest moment of the game for me was when Gordon (rockets former leader in complaining about calls) shot a layup over senguin (current leader in complaints) As soon as the layup went in they both turned to the ref to complain about a non call.
Holiday and Tate are regressing to their means. They are not very good. I suspect Cam and Amen will slowly take over their minutes. I trust Ime, but I do hope he unleashes these guys sooner rather than later. Stone should engineer a trade for a sg using Tate, filler, and a pick or two. Jalen should pair with Amen, Cam, and Tari off the bench and this team will be very formidable down the stretch. FVV is starting to flounder, because he is having to take the roll of scoring too much. Bring in a legit SG and get FVV back into pure PG role.
