Losing like this sucks. But let’s not make it out to be more than it is. You didn’t need to win this game. You’ve lost your second best WR. You’re playing one of the best defenses of the last 15 seasons with your backup QB. You lost your stud pass rusher and starting safety on the first drive. Your best linebacker is still hurt. Your stud rookie pass rusher is still out. This is an understandable loss. Hope to get WAJ, Greenard, Cashman and Ward back next week along with CJ. Win the last two and you’re in. Any Texans fan would’ve signed up for that at the beginning of the season.
I always hate the "Injuries are an excuse" because yeah it's a reality. You're not replacing the talent of Stroud, Dell, Cashman, Greenard, Anderson Jr...you just are not. It means the game will be that much harder to win. As you mentioned, you're not going to next man up and win every game. It was cute against the Titans, but it wasn't happening against the Browns. The coaches would have had to coach a perfect game, they did not, but people should at least realize that the difficulty coaching this team went up with all these injuries. Like there are less things for Slowik to do when he's missing this much talent and its the same for Meco on defense.
It took the Browns 3 backups and a starter to get to Flacco… CJ only been out 2 weeks and we went .500 Sheesh
This fanbase overall is so whipped they just take these Ls in stride. This should be embarrassing. Showed no real pride or competitiveness whatsoever.
Brah, we were the worst team in the NFL last year and are competing for a playoff spot. Let that sink in. Some of us realized we weren't going to instantly be dominant in the span of one season and some of us realize this team still has massive holes and then a team with not much depth gets key players hurt we're not going to look very good.
yet through all that they are 10-5. Perhaps if the coaching staff hadn’t blown the Panthers and Jets games I’d be more willing to give a pass for this game
Just wish they would’ve put Mills in to start the 2nd half. See what a live arm could’ve done. But just an EMBARRASSING effort on defense nonetheless (injuries nothwithstanding).
Stroud being an MVP candidate is the main reason this team is relevant this year. It's a tough ask for a rookie and this team right now is Carolina bad, maybe even worse. I'd be concerned for Stroud's safety coming back now. I miss Stroud playing and he's the main reason to watch this team currently but he's too important to the future as we can see. As I'm typing this Metchie just dropped a gimme in the endzone.
Browns lost to the Jets too. But there is no doubt the Browns are a better and deeper team…and have not had remotely close to the number of key injuries the Texans have had this season.
No one has been happy with Slowik…Tank was hurt one of those games and it was a preview of things to come without him
