There was a play around the 2 min mark where Sengun had the ball in the paint and a man helped off Jabari in the corner.

Instead of standing there and waiting for the defense to move into their rotations, Jabari followed his man in and got an easy dunk.

Absolute chefs kiss, simple but beautiful thing to watch a young player do.

Also it was so odd that they didn't put Herb on Sengun especially after JRE clearly got outclassed hilariously. Herb is a really good defender and 6'8.

Went to bed at halftime, did see Jabari get that 3 in, and wanted him to get 16-20 shots and 8 to 10 threes. I am very glad we won and Sengun brought us home on offense, but it's inexcusable for him not to get more shots up. The only reason he got more of them is because he drove, cut and got some offensive rebounds. We were force feeding Sengun and it lead to turnovers. I am happy though Jabari didn't force it and stayed within himself and the game plan, but when Jalen Green is allowed to do whatever, FVV throws up these terrible shots in the paint and from 3 at times, then hell go ahead next time! That defense at the end was beautiful, but an unsung hero was Tate on Zion! He moved very well with him and didn't give him an inch.

Green - man...get your **** together. Some bad possessions in the 3rd and he was involved in most of them. Thing is though, that whole Kobe mentality and I wish he'd show his frustration more. He doesn't seem to get on himself at all about mistakes, but that could just not be his style. I am sure he is, but on some of these mistakes, he could show some extra hustle and on that defensive rebound go to Sengun and say my bad. Even if it wasn't, because he's been fighting with bigs for rebounds quite often lately and there's just no reason for it.

Besides that, I really do wish Ime is still trying to get him to be an off-ball guard, because either he realized he just isn't or Green is just asked to be himself (for now). Cannot erase 3 years of bad habits in 20 games, so we need to be patient, but at some point he needs to show something more to justify starting on a team that's obviously trying to win enough games to be in the play-in.

Sengun - holy **** dude, on a back-to-back against JV, Zion and whoever else. Nobody can stop you baby!
Crazy to think Silas almost ruined this guy's confidence and did not believe in him. Silas deserves a lot more flack for how he handled him as well as Stone who allowed all this KPJ and Green as the future Cat & Francis when you have Yao sitting right there type of deal. Sengun is a freaking star!!

Just someone please tell the team to also look elsewhere every once in a while. At one point Tari had it with 3-4 seconds to go, sees Sengun is double-teamed with a third one coming and still passes to him. I think Sengun was just asking for it as a decoy, because he didn't even look back and knew he had a lot of guys on him and was frustrated with that pass. Jabari also threw up a terrible forced pass to Sengun. Need to cut those out.

In general I'm still not a fan of our offense, because I expect Ime and FVV or whoever's our PG to know who's hot and run some sets for Jabari since he was hot. And not just Sengun or drive it into the paint or around the perimeter and see what happens, this is what our offense felt like to me. Doesn't help that Amen cannot handle the PG duties at all atm, he doesn't know where to be on the court and is not a threat. FVV & Aaron are both too short to really be a threat once they go inside and really. wish FVV would cut it out, unless he knows how to get closer to the rim and use his body to get a proper lay-up attempt.

Jaba Tari - these two just keep bringing that rebounding edge, the fight to stay in it and Jabari really showing why a lot of us were excited he was the one available with the 3rd pick. Once our guys start to feed him more, Ime will run more plays for him and he keeps improving on his ball handling, attack the basket and punishing smaller guys then he can be a 20 and 10 guy easily. Love this dude and glad I was excited since day 1 and he's proven why he was worthy of that 3rd pick.

Tari is the one that giveth and taketh away though. He shows promise, but those over excited jumps at jump shooters needs to be kept in check if he wants to stay on the court. Still, he was key in some of those second chance shots in the 4th, and his steals were just a thing of beauty. Jabari getting some blocks in lately too and both are just thriving in their roles, bringing that defense and an edge. Jabari has played much less defense with his hands lately and I cannot fault Tari for being wild, when Brooks takes himself out of games more often than not with overzealous play and silly fouls.

Going into Christmas as a play-off bound team, back-to-back games won, in front of the Lakers and Warriors with the 2nd best defense in the league and our young guys thriving is just a thing of beauty. Over last 2 games have gone back to defense with the best rating and some serious distance between us and the 2nd best: Rockets 98.5 to Timberwolves 105.6.

May it all continue into the new year. Happy holidays everyone!

Sengun would eat Herb out in the post, I think. He’s just too big and strong for Herb to comfortably take down there.

This comment really stood out to me.

Considering game after game after game they don't go to Sengun enough.

just a really weird observation after a game the kid literally bent over every single player on the opposition team.
