Not likely as he’ll probably only be playing garbage minutes tonight. Frustrating how Amen gets time and can’t shoot an outside shot for his life and Cam gets nothing. Amen is an excellent passer, but that’s useless unless FVV or Holiday get hurt. Would rather play Cam at off guard then Amen. Team can still win now if Tate’s minutes are reduced and given to Cam.
It can’t hurt to kick the tires on Cam. I have a feeling that if he gets some of those open shots that certain players have been missing, our percentages would go up a little.

I will trust Udoka on this issue. I don’t trust TF or Stone’s judgment - but I do trust Ime to make the right decision…. Stone and TF can go sit on the sidelines next to TMac and Francis.
I think Jalen would play better at 25 to 27 minutes a game. Let's get Cam on the court. He's too explosive to leave on the bench.
He’ll be good. Damn good, in my opinion. He’s also clearly NOT ready for big minutes in the NBA yet. Put Cam in any game, especially against weaker defenders, and he’s an automatic bucket. But he also has not flashed any of the improved playmaking that I’ve seen in the Gleague yet. He is already a more willing passer, but it’s pretty obvious that he’s still got to consciously look to pass instead of doing it instinctively like Amen. Also his shot needs work, but so does every single under-22 player on our team. Work your magic, Will Weaver!!
He has one of the best shooting forms i've ever seen. We have a future career .38-40 3pt shooter in our hands. Other GM's blew it letting him slid down to pick 20 props to Stone for bringing him here but we can't waste this kid's talent. He's athletic+strong and has finesse that's too rare. He's a good outside shooter, he can attack to the rim and finish and he can create his own shot. He looks like a willing defender and his tunnel vision isn't terrible. Kid is willing to share the ball. He has to play at least 20 minutes if he's not starting.
Love the way Cam looked tonight but you can tell every time he gets the ball, he's thinking only one thing and that's "I have to score" because he 100% has the ability to score in bunches at all three levels. Once he starts buying into the team and channels his immense talent into Ime's system, I can see him taking a huge leap. I can potentially see him eventually taking on the instant offense 6th man role as the season progresses, however.
That had a lot to do with him playing with the G squad, Amen and Landale. He looked really good tonight on both ends
I love his potential, I do, but cranking up 12 shots in 14 minutes isn't doing himself any favors. I'm not sure he gets that. Not a doubt in my mind he'll be a bucket, but he can't look like the only guy on the floor while he's out there. Cam looks like he is ALL about Cam right now. He also looks like he might lead this team in scoring if he got Jalen's minutes. Nonetheless, he's going to need to mature as an all around player before that's ever going to happen.
Are these people really going at the kid for taking up 12 shots in a blowout game? What was he supposed to do pass it to Holiday and Jock so that they would do nothing?

I think only playing him in garbage minutes or in the GLeague is only going to show the same results. We really don’t know how he’ll play next to Fred, Dylan, Alpi etc. in a close game against teams that have guys like Giannis, Jokic, Lebron, etc. on the court. If Ime or FVV call a play that sets up a Sengun post up, or calls him to back cut etc. and he blows the play to get himself an iso attempt you bench him and bring him back in the next half. Do that for about a 5 game stretch at least. I hate to say it but a player like Cam at his age isn’t going to just grow out of the tunnel vision play and mopey attitude anytime before his rookie contract ends. So you gotta rely on more than just GLeague and garbage time evidence to make the call on a player like that. Otherwise this will be just another Terrence Williams/Squid type situation with a wasted draft pick.
