Those Yao years were crazy. One of those fans was like how can you call yourself Chinese when I criticized him on some topic. Also been called a LOF and LOH in the same game thread before too. LOL

Can you imagine the Kenny Smith / Sam Cassell threads that would have existed in 1994 and 95?

I had a poster say I was lying about my ethnicity when I called Zhou Qi “Joe Chee”…something in the vein of “no Asian person would ever call him that!” I was taken aback to be sure

In hindsight I may have been trolled, but that was a pretty strange experience.

Oh yeah? Why "Roomba" instead of "Roborock"? Hmm? Answer me that.

The fact that I had to google what Roborock even is has proven once again that I bring shame upon my forefathers

    P.S. Roomba supremacy for life

It gets personal because people make it personal sitting behind keyboards and cellphones. When someone has some valid point and ain’t bothering anyone and some a$$hole and there’s plenty on this site, starts off a response with “Are you kidding me?” or “Come on man” or “Lol” then they lose all credibility and respect and needs to be dealt with. Nothing wrong with freely expressing yourself. Some have little basketball experience or knowledge. Others do. Some post wrong information or have unpopular opinions. That’s all fine. All ideas and thoughts should be welcomed. But when people start getting snarky and disrespectful or talk down to other people then there’s going to be a problem. I for one don’t tolerate that shi+

Who on this site is critical of Sengun? There’s a large bias on this site in favor of Sengun the infallible.

Great point. If these people claim to love the team but demonize certain players or coaching etc then can you truly call this love for the team when it’s offensive, mean spirited, and full of vitriol? I’m all for fairness and equity. No reason to demonize players or coaches. If you truly love the team and Rockets basketball you would wish the team well and hope for a successful season. Fans are free to he critical or hold assessments but the line has to be drawn on the hatred some of these fans hold in their hearts for certain players. And if you are continuously critical on one player or a few players but not other certain players then it shows bias and unfairness. A lot of this ain’t love. It’s pure hatred disguised in fandom.

Being the Interweb tough guy you are, the Internet should not even be considered serious or respectful.

There is a line not to cross and when people would get moderated out of it. I do not see your moderator sheriff star.

Did you have a negative experience with me? Not sure what you’re getting at. Never said I was tough. Find it odd you would comment on this which means you likely felt a certain way about my comments and content. I just deal with people who are out of line. I respect all opinions and ask people thought provoking questions with logic and facts. And your point is exactly what’s wrong with the internet. People choose not to be civil or respectful behind the keyboard hence most of these conversations devolve into nastiness.

Of course but nothing major IMO, but you address the same things, I like to do ....starting with lol is just an expression of humor.....

And people have been missing humor a lot in the bleak realities around them.

There is also a lot of nuances going on what should be taken seriously, and basketball to me is not serious matter.

If you take it seriously, at your own peril.
