Want to know how bad the Mitchell brand of basketball is? Dude went off and had to go to OT to beat a team with no offense. These offense only don't pass until the end of the shot clock dudes trick yall man.

Matching up money would need to get creative. Spyda at 32Ms a year. You'd need to include either FVV or Brooks and then probably two of the young drafted players from the last few years AND some Brooklyn picks.

    I'd still do it.

You are aware the Cavs were missing Mobley and Garland last night right? Pass until the end of the clock like Freddy? Remember last year when "time of possession" was such a THING? Surely you feel similarly about Freddy! Wait let me guess -- "one guy is a PG and one guy is not duh you expect PGs to hold it more" -- right? LOL

"Team with no offense" ??? Dude we scored 130 without Jabari or Jalen!!

At least Mitchell can get to the rim and finish consistently. Hard to say that about anyone else on this roster not named Sengun (and he's been struggling at the cup lately too). Plus Mitchell is a lifetime 109 drated player which would fit seamlessly into what we are doing. Last season finished at 62% TS and so far he's sitting at 58. What's not to like? Donovan Mitchell is TODAY what we were hoping Jalen would be. We need to start banking on some sure things and he's already ducking questions about his future with CLE. 27 year old superstars in their prime dont become available very often and we shouldnt expect to get a "deal" in a trade. Whatever it takes on our part it would be worth it.

I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but what’s a realistic offer? Hes a FA after this year right?

If we draft Mobley, we obviously don't draft Sengun. And Sengun >>>> Mobley.

Its going to be a doozy of an offer. You dont get a chance to nab a guy on the right side of 30 who could presumably earn every penny of a max deal while still playing high level ball. We have the ammo to make it happen. Mitchell would be here on a max level deal that would be higher than FVV - probably closer to 50 per year which still holds value for an All Nba player.

I think it takes 2 of the 4 out of Jalen/Amen/Cam/Jabari plus either FVV or Brooks and some Brooklyn picks.

They could play together. Also the OP I got flamed like hell over was after 11 games into 2021 being willing to trade pretty much everything on the roster BUT Sengun for Mobley. Been ridin’ with Alpie since day 1.

Mobley’s growth leveled off some but he’s still really good. At 21 years old he finished 3rd in DPOY voting and before getting hurt he was putting up 16 a game on 60% TS with 10.5 boards this year. That’s a really good player!

Barring long term injury his next contract will likely be the max or close. Idk what Jalen’s next contract even looks like.

Not a fan so pretty much nothing. I guess Jalen Green counts as nothing so I'd do that

Jalen needs to find a way to get angry in order to bring out his competitor side of himself. He’s too chill to take the next step in his development.

I think Udoka tried instigating him, but instead of getting angry, he moped around and sulked.

Now that he’s getting more shots, the Rockets are losing a lot more and the edge the team had going for them, seems to be gone. They once again look like a team in mediocrity.

Jalen just isn’t cutting it for winning basketball, and I hope the Rockets are at least open to trade proposals, in order to find an effective shooting guard.

It would be interesting to see if Mobley, Sengun and Smith could all play in a super massive lineup with Sengun technically at the 5, Mobley technically at the 4 and Smith technically at the 3.

I think the one reason it wouldn't work is because neither Mobley or Sengun have developed any kind of outside shot.....but if they could....

Mobley is not a guy that you regret not drafting. Good player for sure, but it's not like we passed on a generational player.

Yeah this definitely wouldn’t work unless Mobley tuned into a sharpshooter. And he appears to be moving in the opposite direction, less 3s on a worse percentage each year. He doesn’t look like he’s much of an offensive player at all, I think he’s been a huge disappointment on that end. But his defense has been as good if not better than projected.

Mobley’s been hurt and the Cavs have been hot. Coincidence?

Mobley is mid. Allen is the real bigman jewel of that team.
