the sad part is he will never get back to what he once was as a borderline a list actor. the way people were reporting this case was so weird. They would release the most damning stuff and leave out ALL of his ex girl friends weird testimony. Public Opinion has already turned on Majors. If you were keeping up with the case this case looks like it should have never been brought to trial. it's pretty wild. no people who dont want to admit how wrong they were are digging in even more.
Overall it sounds like he’s just an arrogant ******* and people are piling on. Not a reason to ruin his career but it’s a lesson that you should be nice to people.
i mean, the woman came back to his house drunk. maybe he lectured her. never going to be in his situation with all his fame. but he knew what he was on the cusp of and thats what he told her in that audio. The girl has a drinking problem and the dude was tired of it.

My non-legal background interpretation of this outcome is that the Jury thought that most of all.... NOBODY in this altercation is innocent, or Jonathan Majors (since he was the one on trial) wasn't 100% innocent, and at the very least was found to have been physical with her in an altercation that caused her harm. However they ruled out the higher charges that would have surely he would have been found guilty of if there was any evidence he actually attacked her, or beat her instead of just being reckless and physical in some way. Looks like he's unlikely to serve any jail time as well. Maybe a week or two at the most but they'll probably hit him with an extended probation, therapy, etc. instead since it's difficult for a celebrity like that to be put in jail in a way that's an effective tool for punishment. .... As for Marvel/Kang future... I'd be shocked if they continued with him for the next few movies as a central villain. The latest Loki season was a good sort of stopping point, or pause for the character. In reality if there was no announcement of Avengers: Kang Dynasty at Comic Con, everyone would pretty much be in agreement that he's likely done for the time being ala Red Skull in Captain America 1, or the girl who had the phasing powers in Ant Man 2. The Quantumania post credit scene is really the only loose thread out there really. Don't recast... just shelve IMO. However it would be smart to put the Fantastic Four on the board ASAP. Let them sort of front the multiverse saga, and maybe pin them against Dr. Strange who IMO is probably the best villain they could put out there in the next Avengers movie anyways if they wanted to tie up the multiverse threads.
Misdemeanor assault is a pretty low bar and minimal punishment. He did assault her and she assaulted him too. He wasn't found guilty on all charges either. Calling this a racial thing ignores his behavior and there did seem to be a pattern of intimidation on his part. And now Marvel wants to recast him which is dumb. Just end the Kang storyline. They wrote themselves a solid exit from Kang in the Loki series. The only reason why Kang was interesting was because of Majors' acting skills. From a writing perspective the character and associated storyline was a uninteresting and sloppy IMO. He got defeated by ants. Marvel ****ed up the Kang character...just move on.
