I think we just need to say it. I am happy he is the Titans guy. He is Jake Locker 2.0. Locks on receivers, doesn't go through reads consistently, drops eyes. Pocket Awareness is horrid. He ain't it.
He locks on receivers for sure. But he also makes plays others can’t. He has to clean up rookie mistakes, hopefully he doesn’t. But if you’re saying the talent isn’t there, you’re completely wrong. For as polished as CJ is, he locks onto Tank at times too.
CJ scans and reads the ENTIRE field. Every parent has a favorite child, just like every qb has a favorite receiver. CJ knows who gets in and out breaks the best, it just so happens to be the biggest small guy on the field.
All the physical talent in the world but he doesn't read the field. It's the knock on him from college and he hasn't dispelled that.
