And Amen is on his way. This is a game he could have impacted greatly. He would’ve made life much harder on Middleton and/or Lilliard.

Nice to see the silver linings get discussed when we lose as a team vs the finger pointing towards specific players when we win as a team. Good job guys y'all are starting to get it!

    Good post.

One thing though...I don't think it's necessarily about the timeline or patience with some of us so-called Green "haters". Of course I can't speak for everyone, but I think what some of us are concerned about with Jalen is that the growth won't come. We all make projections about players so I don't get the "he's only 21" or "he's only 22" or whatever. Just because a player is young doesn't mean that will get better as they age or progress to the level of competence needed to compete with (and this isn't aimed at you necessarily).

Some of us have looked at Green and because of whatever evaluation or projection have leaned towards the more bleak end of his outlook.

What I don't get (again not directed at you necessarily) is the demonization of posters who aren't on the Green train. We don't have to be optimistic about a guy just because he's on our team. Most everyone bashed Nix because he sucked and sucky players don't help the Rockets win. We don't have to collectively sit around and project positive vibes about a guy just because they wear a Rockets uni. We can be real and give real opinions about guys' future.

We all want the Rockets to win and that is the point. I personally don't think Green is the best option moving forward at the SG position because I don't think he is or will be good enough to be a starting SG on a contending team. This is a projection just like we project draft picks...Except we have actual NBA data to further base those projections on.

So back to my original point....It's not really a patience thing for me. I don't see Green reaching the level we need him to be at no matter how long you give him.

The Rockets lack of size and length was costly this game. They were just too big for us and we couldn't get a rebound, smh.

Refs screwing us further ensured the loss.

We don't get rebounds because we don't box out, whether it. be effort or discipline. We have 3 bodies around the rim, all trying to get the rebound and leaving an open lane for some opponent journey to run in there and have a good chance of grabbing it. Same applies for offensive rebounds. It's maddening to watch night in, night out.

Jabari has plenty of size and length to be a better rebounder (he's improved, but has the ability to be elite). Sengun's rebounding needs to be better too. Eason is easily our best rebounder.

Rockets at best is a 2nd round playoff team. They not beating the teams with superstars. They'll beat the scrub teams though lol.

Lillard is an incredibly bad matchup for Sengun. Ime knew that if Sengun was out there he was going to get cooked alive and Dame would've dropped 50 going away.

While its true the Cavs are missing a couple guys, they also didnt play last night and havent traveled since the Boston game on the 14th.

If we still got legs in the 4th, I like our chances.
Fred played the most minutes (39) again last night.

Why would we expect Sengun to cover Lillard? Sengun can barely guard centers and power forwards.

Eason/Brooks should have been on Lillard.

However, who killed us was Middleton. In the 4Q he came alive and scored 14 or 16 I believe. Then Brooks went Brooks and overreacted to a normal basketball play and got kicked out, taking the coach with him.

That's fair, it's just a difference in opinion on how we view Jalen Green's potential development. Obviously, I hope Jalen becomes a key piece/leading scorer on a championship contender, but even with my tinted glasses I have to admit that he hasn't shown me that ability yet.

Just because we view a player differently doesn't mean somebody is more or less of a fan because at the end of the day we want the same thing--another title for our squad.

That said, I very much hope he proves you wrong and becomes a star :p
