    If Giannis can be slowed down, Dame might come under pressure as well. I expect the Bucks to win. If our guys give a tough fight, I will be satisfied.

    It will be a long night if you get off to a slow start against the Bucks. Detroit opened their game with 9-25 from the field (36% shooting, 0-7 from 3). Milwaukee responded with 43 of their own (58% from the field, 7-14 from 3).

    Now granted, the Pistons, with former head coach Stephen Silas on the sidelines (who is making about the same impact as he made while here), are terrible. They have zero fight in them. The numbers at the end of the first-quarter stats tell you everything you need to know: zero offensive boards, only two "forced" TOs in the first quarter (which looked more like dumb plays than defense), and 2 out 4 at the FT line. The Pistons mailed it in.

    Pistons head coach Monty Williams after the game: "We can't afford to start games without the grit and toughness that we display at times,” Williams said

    The Bucks pulled ahead 32-17 in the first nine minutes. In that first quarter blitz, they only made half of their 14 3-point attempts. Lillard wasn't hot. He only made 5 out of 10 (3 for 7 from three) at the start. They led to a 43-20 score after one quarter. It should have been worse.​

    The point is that the Rocket starters come out cold, and they will be left behind.

    At least, however, if our shots aren't falling, the Rockets will show some fight.

    Rockets at Bucks, Dec. 17: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet
    Here’s a look at Sunday’s lines:

    • Point spread: Bucks -7.5
    • Money line: Bucks -275 / Rockets +225
    • Over/under: 229.5

    Rockets at Bucks injury/status report:
    Houston’s injury report lists Victor Oladipo (left patellar tendon repair) as out, while Amen Thompson are each questionable with an illness. Young prospects Cam Whitmore, Nate Hinton and Jermaine Samuels Jr. are away from the team while playing for their club’s NBA G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Vipers.

    The Bucks are not required to issue Sunday’s report until a few hours before tipoff, owing to the back-to-back. On Saturday, they were without Khris Middleton (right knee injury management), Malik Beasley (illness), and Jae Crowder (left adductor surgery).
