I was about to praise him for putting Sengun at 1 but realized that he was also high on Jalen so...

Remember when Stephen Silas used to mention working with Lebron and Curry in their rookie years. I guess he's adding Sengun to that list.

Sometimes you pass up on Kawhi Leonard, sometimes you trade Steven Adams and Kevin Martin for James Harden.

    That's life.

I love how Malone stands by Jokic unconditionally.

And I have a feeling that Ime and Alpi can create a similar bond.

His 2nd terrible game of the season. Had 1 bad game b4 (Also against Grizzlies) so he had 3 bad or terrible games in 21 games for. It's safe to say after watching him against Looney and Biyombo he's having trouble scoring on 6'8-6'9 centers. Maybe it's because he's used to being guarded by taller guys maybe because smaller centers have more active hands or sth like that but he now has 2 kryptonites in the league Looney and Biyombo. So he'll have to prepare for those guys differently maybe he should try more flamingos or try outside shots but he needs to change his approach. They are stronger above the waist line, they have thicker stronger legs and you can back them down like you can back down let's say Zubac or Chet.

Agreed. He got difficulty in the past when was defended by Marcus Smart also.

Intelligence best described as " to adapt new conditions". Alp is a high BBIQ guy, he will certainly adapt.

Biyombo had exact Alp minutes: 24.

3 points, 6 rebounds, 5 fouls, 2 TOs and defending Alp. Custom made defensive player, nothing more nothing less.

Biyombo took only 2 shots tho was does he supposed to do drop 35 on him in 2 shots? Sengun needs to hire bulky dwarves and score on them once a week for 3 months.

Cool post and good perspective. Alp has been so good and it's given us such high expectations, we can sometimes forget how young he is and how early he is in his career. He had a terrible game, it happens. He's gonna struggle and that's fine.

If you don't have a cryptonite in the league you are the goat so he had to have some sort of problematic match ups. Jokic had/has that guy too he's just have to approach those match ups differently. When Looney or Biyombo is guarding him he can't get closer to the basket and settles for 12 feet floaters. I'd prefer him to try his one legged jumper on them instead of long range floaters. He didn't take any of that shot today. He worked on that shot for the games like today. I don't want him to flamingo Zubac, Kessler or Kat he can go toe to toe with them he can outplay them with his footwork but these 2 don't bite on his pumpfakes and can't be moved so he has to try his one legged shot on them. Today Sengun went full rtard for making the same mistakes over and over again.

For whatever reason Fred was not hitting him off the pick and roll, where he could use his speed to get around them. So he needs to use his handles to beat these type of bigs off the dribble. Backing them up is just a waste of time.

Don’t let them move the goal posts.

21 years old. 20-9-5 and the starting C on the 2nd best defense in the NBA… Bruno Fernando.

Our franchise player's S tier skill is whining to refs. After watching an abysmal performance in 3rd quarter, I'm glad Sudoku benched him.
