Is there anywhere to watch these g league games after they happen? Or anything I can sign up for to watch replays of them? People post the highlights in here and on twitter which is okay I guess, but I'd like to see the full games if possible.
30 and 40 point games for guys who don't perform in the NBA are plentiful, so this doesn't impress me. If he can show me he has good IQ, passing, vision, ball handling, work ethic and a dog mentality regardless of his shot falling or not, then let's talk. Because right now that's what we need from our SG. If he doesn't have that, he can stay down there while Green, Amen, Aaron & FVV have that covered.
Cam had a good game. Most of his scoring came in the first half where I think he had 20+ points. Cam's plays are in the spoiler. Times are game times, not video timestamps. BOXSCORE Spoiler 1st Quarter 11:39 - Cam shoots a 25-foot 3 and misses but almost immediately on the other end of the court steals the ball and races back for a layup 08:59 - Cam gets the rebound, brings it up the court, drives into the paint and turns the ball over 08:15 - Cam gets the rebound, brings it up the court, passes off to Spalding, takes advantage of the smaller guy guarding him and runs to the paint where Spalding finds him for a layup 07:52 - Cam gets the rebound tipped to him dashes to the 3 pt line and passes off to Samuels who gets the layup on the 2-on-3 break 07:05 - Cam takes another 25-foot 3 pointer and misses. 06:00 - Cam gets the ball coming up the court and immediately fires another 25-foot 3 pointer. This time it's good. 05:15 - Cam goes out 00:09 - Cam comes back in with 9.7 left in the 1st 00:04 - Cam gets the pass from Mayer on the break and dunks the ball 2nd Quarter 12:00 - Cam still in 11:48 - Cam takes a 21-foot jumper and misses. 11:46 - Cam out again 10:06 - Cam back in (no idea what's going on) 10:01 - Cam dribbles into the paint in traffic and gets fouled. 09:25 - Cam lays in the weeds and gets a nice steal, runs the break by himself and gets a layup 08:33 - Occeus steals the ball and passes the ball to Cam on the break who proceeds to erase the Legends defender from the timeline by dunking on him. Nasty dunk, but then he looks back and stares at him for about 2 seconds... pure evil in this man. 08:14 - Funny play - Cam runs into the back of the guy he's guarding, then grabs him by the hips and pulls him I guess to stop him from falling, but ref doesn't give a damn... play on. LOL. 07:26 - A bit of defensive miscommunication here 06:20 - Cam bodies and boxes out Justin Jackson, then outjumps him for the rebound and jumps up for a layup and gets the and-1. Hits the FT. 04:35 - Cam gets the Culver miss and lays it up for a fast-break layup. 03:40 - Cam walks the ball up the court, shoots a 3 and misses. 02:12 - Cam gets the ball around 26 feet away and shoots the 3. Hits it. 01:53 - Cam fouls the 3-point shooter who hits the 3 and the FT. 3rd Quarter 10:45 - Mitchell knocks the ball away, Cam picks it up and starts the break. Mitchell gets the bucket on the other end on the 3-on-1 break. 09:55 - Cam puts up a FT-line jumper and misses. 08:30 - Cam takes another 3 and misses. 06:30 - Cam blocks the shot out of bounds. 05:24 - Cam goes out. 4th Quarter 11:29 - Crazy sequence that ends up with Cam having the ball at the 3 pt. line but deciding to drive it in on the defense and powering a layup in for 2. 11:10 - Cam gets the ball after a Vipers steal and goes for an off-balance jumpshot, misses, but is fouled and hits the FT. 09:55 - Cam hits a 3. 09:35 - Cam calls for the alley-oop from Hinton for what could've been another violent dunk, but Hinton responds by throwing it over the freeway. 09:10 - Cam drives into the paint for a layup and misses. 09:00 - Vipers get the steal. On the 3-on-1 break Samuels passes it ahead to Spalding who passes it back to Whitmore who misses the easy layup (but Samuels gets the rebound layup for 2) 08:00 - Samuels gets the rebound on the baseline and tosses it out to Cam at the 3 pt. line. Cam shoots and misses. 07:48 - Cam gets the rebound and tries to take it all the way to ram it home, but a defender gets in his way near the restricted area. Cam decides to try and jump and do a layup over/through him. Questionable decision that was called a blocking foul because the refs and announcers are blind, but they reverse the call and Cam gets called for the charge. 06:24 - Cam hits the 3 from the corner. 05:15 - Cam gets the rebound and drives looking for a layup but gets the ball poked away while in the air (Samuels gets the ball and gets a dunk) 02:30 - Cam brings the ball up the court, drives as if he's going for a layup, but passes out at the 3 pt. line to Hinton who hits the 3. 00:05 - Cam holds the ball to run the clock out and forces the Legends to foul him. Nice clock management this time, Cam. lol.
If it's on YouTube or viewable online/legally, I post it in this thread, unless it's ESPN+ or something, which I don't have. I link to the full videos. I can't stand just the highlights for something like watching Cam play. All those dudes do is show you the good plays. You can also just go to the RGV schedule on their website and they'll link to the videos if it's available.
kid is a straight baller. I want those assist numbers to rise and maybe he can string a few games of 5+ assists. the scoring is a given, and honestly the rebounding is too. let's see more of the passing and team play. can't wait until he's called back up
Cam's got the potential to be special. As long as he buys in and stays healthy, we've got a helluva player.
Lol!!! You sure want to see a lot. The prized lottery didn’t sniff any of these numbers Cam is putting up at 19. He belongs on the big squad like yesterday
In today's game, Cam made a concerted effort to "score within the offense." The coaches gave him specific directions and a role off the ball. Looked like he did what they asked him to do. That dunk was ridiculous. He makes everything look effortless even against pretty decent talent. Cam's just getting started.
This guy should not have fallen to 20, the league made a mistake. He would be a top 3 pick in this upcoming draft. I hope he gets a chance soon bc he will contribute. I'm excited about our future with Sengun, Cam, Tari and Amen
These guys get a meme they have heard and just keep repeating it. It' s not common at all for 19 year. olds to put up 30's and 40's game after game in their first 10 games. You can see his speed hops and power. That being said, of course there is no 100% chance he will be a star. I guess for some it is easier to be negative than be optimistic and have your hopes dashed? What are actual bball professionals saying about him.
