Are F150s fun to drive? Or is it just a status symbol?

I drove a GMC truck one summer but besides the ease of hauling, it felt like a tank and I would rather not drive it.

The ecoboost engines have some fun "get up and go", but it's definitely not driving a sports car.

Buying a multiunit investment property and I need a reliable work truck, preferably under $3k. I'd prefer a Toyota but $6k seems to be the entry point for a work truck with 200k miles. This will be mostly an in-town truck, very rare will I be using it on the highway. Will be used for trips to hardware store and furniture.

    Suggestions?

Personally, I'd look for an old Ranger or Mazda. They can't handle as much weight as other trucks, but they are easy to maneuver and similar sized truck bed.

Thanks. I'm not hauling anything. Property is in Galveston so it would be nice to have a 4x4 for the beach too but that's not it's main purpose.

I looked at those a few months ago. I have to admit, I love them, but they're not exactly what I'm looking for and aren't very practical compared to some used trucks I see for less.

You can import them for less than you can buy them for, but then you have to pay for titling, maybe tariffs, etc.

Depends on so many things as trucks can be spec'd wildly differently. If the truck is low trim and high payload, the ride will be rough and uncomfortable. If high spec and 1000 pounds of payload (low payload) it will ride fantastic and have a ton of room.

I'm not sure that "buying a multi-unit investment property in Galveston" is the "flex" you think it is.

Nah. Giving the pertinent details for what I need in a truck.

No offense my dude- you don’t have to be rich to buy investment property. Just good with your money.

Break out of that mentality and I can point you in the right direction.
