I believe the 48V electrical system on an EV is highly underrated. It took an absurdly long time for people to come around and understand the power of instant torque. Many of these boomers still dismiss it. There are many more mechanical systems that can be streamlined into electrical assisted systems. This is why the cyber truck is a very smooth ride. With a 48v system, more powerful mechanical systems can be utilized. With instant real time data and instant adjustment, you can have a vehicle riding on a 15 degree gimbal.
It will be interesting what the aftermarket comes up with to utilize the 40amp NEMA 14-50 connector.

For the haters, this is a feature that can be utilized by all EV manufactures.

Point blank question: who is going to buy it?

Jason: Lamborghini owners to terrorize the neighborhood.
    And maybe some constructions pros.

which the top gear guy brought up a great point (that I have personally heard from my buddy who builds homes)....if you show up in a fancy truck like this, your workers ain't gonna be happy.

i am very curious to see who the buyers will be. currently my top guess is douchebags with money, and of course elon worshippers with money.

Saw one on the road in Culver City last week. The driver and the car looked very silly.

    “Cry about it”

I expected you to get one. You fit my initial buyer base.

Exoskeleton? Isn't that what bugs have--and don't bugs go squish?

Does the Cybertruck go through a molting stage each year?

yes, its an industry standard plug, which is what makes it good. Its not some proprietary crap that slows adoption. Its ready to go out the gate.
The -50 is the max amp the connection can handle...50A. CT is pushing 40A at most.

Fun social experiment. The speed at which people’s opinions of these flipping 180 once they start seeing their favorite celebs in them will make your head spin. Whoever said the Cybertruck wasn’t a real truck was right. Serena wouldn’t be caught dead in a truck.

Reservations are being flipped for thousands of dollars. “Who will buy them?” Please don’t project your little peasant brains on things above your paygrade. Go back to hating on everything Elon because cnn told you so.

My understanding is these are fraudulent auctions as the reservation is non transferable and the early adopters can't sell for st least 1 year.

It’s unclear whether Tesla will follow through with that.

Yes I see hundreds of people lining up to get lambos and private jets because they saw their celebrity in one.
