I know this is a classic CF meme, but I actually think "this game will tell us a lot about this team" lol. We should be able to take care of business in a blowout. Lose this game somehow and it feels like this is just gonna be an inconsistent team.

The best teams in the game lose badly to bad teams on occasion.

One game doesnt mean much to me.

We already lost to them is the thing though, so it would be two games.

The Rockets team we saw the first couple of games isn't the one we've seen since.

Likewise, the Spurs started 3-2 and lost their 6th game in OT. They caught a few teams early on when they were just warming up and before books got out on how to play them.

Jabari revenge game. That's if we can find more than 6 FGAs for him.

Denver has lost 3 to the Rockets and I dont think it changes the trajectory of that team all that much.

That's not a fair comparison, the Rockets are a .500 team. If they lost to one of the worst teams in the NBA 3/4 times I think it would be a cause for concern to them.

Also, I'm not saying losing this game would be a cause for "concern", just that it could be an indication that the Rockets are a tad less ahead of schedule than we may think they are. A lot of us expect the Rockets to make headway now that the schedule is easier, which I hope happens.

That's the hope. Would love to see the Rockets taking care of business against bad teams now that we finally have a chance to play them.

I think its fair given the Nuggets are the NBA reining champions.

Top (Denver) to middle (Rockets) is about the same as middle (Rockets) to bottom (SAS).

I personally disagree, I think the the gap is wider between mid tier teams and the worst teams than elite teams and "good" teams. But that's just my opinion, we can agree to disagree.

Tonight it will be 11:9 for the Rockets! Its not important who got which stats! Its a must to win game! If you play against a lof of strong Teams and you are 10:9, you must win against the bad Teams in the League for joining the Play Offs! I feel, that Jalen Green will got a 30+ game. Its a JG Match i think.

    Lets go guys!!

This Game will tell us precisely about the team and that Size does not matter.

This game will tell us a lot about this team. We have been playing mostly good teams this season and we played up to our competition. Let's see if we will dominate them the entire game or play down to our competition. I know we played them early this season, but I feel those first few games of the season are not a good indication of our current team.

Not sure how we’re defining “gap” here, but I’d say it’s definitely harder to go from mid-tier to elite, than it is to go from bottom-dweller to mid-tier.

    It’s like climbing a mountain.

Going from the valley floor to base camp is common. And while the valley may no longer be visible from base camp, and you think you can see the peak, it’s only an illusion. What teams see is just the first round on the way to the peak, where most get stuck and lose hope. Even those who make it to the 2nd summit, come to realize they are really only half way there, from base camp. :D

It's harder to get from mid-tier to elite, but the "gap" is smaller.

If we just go by net rating, the Rockets actually have a better net rating than the Nuggets, 3.57 to 3.11. Meanwhile the Spurs have a -11.79 net rating, worst in the league. So by that metric it's also not comparable losing to the Rockets 3/4 times and losing to the Spurs.
