Ummm...okay...I guess. Not really sure where you were going... but this part: Nah. Unless you're talking about locker room morale or some other intangible, DJ has been over the hill for quite a while. Definitely a great guy personally though.
Great post, thanks. I didn't quote your irrelevant Russian /Chinese,.. part of the post. You seem kind of parrot for propaganda machine. I could easily write as : Umm, another murican without personality, just repeating what he/she hears from Fox/CNN/NY Times,.. I don't know anything about DJ personality except his warm welcome to Jeff Green but I can easily put him to our squad instead of Jeff+Londale+Boban trio. If DJ was same player he wouldn't be back-up, what are you trying to say? Who you would employ at that position /at that cost instead? You just wrote that reply as a lip service and this kind of answer just fit to your reply. Another "D-List" candidate. How many of you exist out there?
Just to be clear, I don't want you to stop sh*tting on Alp. Keep trying to drag down the best prospect on your team. You look dumber and funnier as each day goes by, and you'll only get to look even dumber and funnier in the future.
1) Sorry I don't subscribe to your "slurp" or "hate" dichotomy. 2) I deal in facts, you deal in feelings. I'm cool with that. 3) Just because you repeat a lie doesn't make it true no matter how desperately you try. So please, keep crying about anything I post that doesn't jibe with your cult-like ideology. No player on the roster is above criticism. So, as gleefully as Sengunatics critique Green, Smith, VanVleet, etc. respect the same in return. ...or not. I really don't care. Sometimes I just enjoy mocking morons. Sue me.
I understand, you are butthurt because Alp is a far better player than you gave him credit for earlier, and I understand, he's a far better player than who you stan for, but at some point you just have to acknowledge that it has nothing to do with Sengun or SOFs. It's just your lack of evaluation of talent, your lack of overall basketball knowledge, and your lack of self-esteem that force you to double down on your stupidity. As i already said earlier, please keep them coming.
He is either great or terrible no in between. He was 11/14 in Mavs, 5/6 in Nuggets game which tells me that it's mental more than anything. I think after licking the ball he rushes it. Honestly he is just outside the Claxton territory which is terrible considering how great of a touch he has.
He was also something like 21/26 for the Turkish NT this summer. It's clearly mental and in fact at times he looks to me more nervous on the court than in the previous seasons. Maybe he feels more pressure as an emerging star and doesn't want to make mistakes.
How tragic is it that there are probably some people on here who'll be angry rather than over the moon that we've got a new All Star on the roster if he makes it?
There will be a lot more "I always said he could be an all star but he's never going to be a superstar" posts. Shifting the goalposts always trumps admitting you were wrong.
While I personally don’t give a **** about the all stars game, I do recognize that it means Sengun’s peers recognize him as a star. They to me is far more important than the opinions of the Cheetos guzzling nephews and nieces on CF.
It IS an important accolade though, if you want to consider somebody a true "franchise player" then they need to be in contention for that for the majority of their career. One or two trips doesn't cut it either, Harden, Yao, Dream, Tmac these are real franchise players and they lived at the All Star game. I think once he gets there Alpi will stay there for the majority of his career like those guys, but it's an important step I'm excited to see him make. It's not just about the peer recognition, stepping on that stage boosts a player's profile, staying on that stage makes you a household name even if your team is underperforming.
The best thing about Sengun becoming an All-Star is that he--and by extension, the Rockets--might start to get some favorable calls.
They wanted a black dude to be the face of this franchise since they are historically better at bb. Everybody has one monster on their team. Giannis, Embiid, Durant, Butler, Ant, Fox, PG, Curry, Morant, Shai, Tatum. They think whites can't fare well against blacks when it matters the most so a white being on the wheel of this team caps its potential they think. That's why they will never entertain the idea of trading Green. Forget about Jokic who is the other whitey? Markkanen? What has he done? So they are mad at their fate and you can only blame who is in front of you. I'm being dead serious when i say this (or am i?) people associate being white in bb with being soft, a bitc.h, a bum, a loser, a cuck, a f-ggot but fate had different plans.
