Dude, I go by the EYE TEST, numbers can be skewed. I ask you to go back and look at the 4th qtr of last night's game and tell me Sengun outplayed or played good defense on Jokic? He didn't. He was overmatched. I don't have anything against Sengun, he is a good young player. I just don't think he is all what many are building him up to be
Eye-test is for nuance. There is no nuance here. Numbers don’t lie. Sengun has been a really good defender this year, and you just won’t admit it because you’re a troll
You right, I think "I told you", so is strong, poor statement on my point. However, I do think there is a possibility that the Rockets might trade him or one of the other young players because they are limited. Ive always said Sengun is similar to Sabonis in every way, if he can be traded, so can Sengun.
There are always VARIABLES to every situation, nothing is the same. Who was his coach? how many yrs was he in the NBA at age 21? Who were his teammates? How many minutes did he play? You can not just look at one player's stats at age 21 vs another player's stats and say one is going to be better than another. Im saying he is Sabonis because of their statures and playing styles but he may go on to be better or never reach Sabonis's level.
In a certain sense, yes. The eye test can be used to explain the numbers, but it can't be used to contradict the numbers if you have a sufficient data set. Numbers don't lie. The eye test can. And here are the facts. Sengun is having a historical season, and I'm not exaggerating. No one has put up Sengun's numbers on his efficiency before their fourth season. Magic Johnson is the closest. I'm not kidding -- here's the list. This is the company Sengun, currently, is in.
Using the Eye test is useless for someone like u @hlmbasketball. I think u need glasses if u thought sengun played bad defense on jokic or got outplayed by him. Jokic took 26 shots to get to 23 points. If Jalen green ever did that folks would have btch for days. But instead of praising sengun for limiting jokic to such an inefficient game u are trying to downplay his efforts with this stance of not utilizing stats that is given or its skewed
Thank god I finally matter! I made it you guys! himbasketball follows me! I'd like to thank the Academy, my wife, God in the Heavens up above, and most importantly, Josh Christopher. They said I couldn't do it, but there it is. I did it. Always follow your dreams, you guys! Maybe one day himbasketball will follow you too and you'll receive all the fortune and fame that accompanies that monumental achievement.
I advise you to go back and look at the 3rd and 4th Qtrs. Sengun was outplayed. Im not saying he had a bad game, he had 17 and 10 but his opponent had 23 and 17. Those aren't equal numbers, one outplayed the other.
He is having an All - Star season and I am enjoying his performance and the other players too. But I like to think logically, with my head and not with my heart. Basketball is simple, more time than not its won in the paint. If you don't have a big man that can defend the paint, it will catchup with you. I employ you to go back and look at the 4th qtr. Everything I question about Sengun came to surface; too short against bigger centers, doesnt defend the rim well, can't shoot free throws, no consistent shot, cant get a shot off outside of 10ft and those are things your center has to be able to do going into March and Apr. Im enjoying the moment, because we are winning but with caution.
So in your dumbass basketball opinion 23 points with 26 fga is better than 17 points with 14 fga, is that correct?
Basketball players have bad 1st, 2nd and 3rd qtrs all the time. With some players its common, then they find their footing. To me, if you look at the game thats what transpired. Jokic had a terrible 1st half and began to turn it up as the game progressed. Sengun had a good 1st half, Jokic had a good 2nd half. And just because my point of view is different from yours, I consider that as a different way of looking at it, not dumb. Thats how you learn is by looking at things differently! Stop FOLLOWING THE NUMBERS and learn to THINK on your own
Numbers, in other words, statistical analysis is the process of collecting and analyzing large volumes of data in order to identify trends and develop valuable insights. There is NO "thinking on one's own." That is the most bullock I have ever heard in my life. Structured analytic techniques, including statistical analysis, are simply a "box of tools" to help the analysts mitigate the adverse impact on analysis of one's cognitive limitations and pitfalls.
Jokic is bay far the best player in the nba, and is completely unguardable. When he has a bad game, it's not because of the other team, it's because he had a bad game. Saying he got outplayed by jokic is stupid, because that also applies to literally EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in the nba, nobody is in jokic's class, and nobody is close
I rarely pay attention to the numbers, although numbers are much more reliable than clueless clowns like you. Anyone who has the slightest idea about basketball could tell that Sengun was one of the main reasons the Rockets got the dub on the road against the Nuggets.
So much stupidity from this statement. Jokic has an overall inefficient game. His team lost and he shot poorly. Meanwhile sengun shot efficiently and his team won. But nah simply 23>17 so jokic outplayed sengun. If u are just gonna ignore context and actual stats. How about we use 114 >106, then. Sengun led his team to outplayed jokic who led his team. Numbers right there
