Because everyone expected Spurs to draft Sengun, including Alp himself. Sengun joined to their camp also. One of the questionmark in my basketball watching life is why Pop is cruel against to Turkish players. Did not sign Kerem Gonlum first, let prime-time Hedo to go to Orlando free and did not draft Sengun. Still waiting someone to expose what Turks done him during his Incirlik Military Base/Turkey days. Should be very very nasty.
I only do it sometimes when it relates to something Clutch said. I don't recall him having talked about the relative value of Mobley and Sengun. The first two years, this would have looked to most people like Mobley had more value. I was convinced this was only due to playing time/opportunity, and that Sengun would eventually establish himself as the most valuable player out of this draft. I am still convinced of this outcome becoming consensus, sooner rather than later - might well already be majority opinion across the NBA. But the discussion has always been more Green vs. Mobley, because they were drafted one after the other. @Os Trigonum, I would be happy to tag you in any Sengun-related post going forward though, I know how happy it makes you to witness Alpi's rapid progression towards franchise player status.
... Meanwhile, only 35 more pages to the Big 500! Pictures, video, anecdotes, feelings and hopes - everything goes! Sharing is caring, people. Don't keep'em to yourselves; let'em out! C'mon trolls, where are you?
7 of them are PGs. Jokic brings up the ball a lot like a PG. Only Sengun and Sabonis don't play like a guard in this group.
What happens at Page 500? I think it was the Carmelo thread? if it reached 500 pages, Carmelo would be a Rocket. @Jontro pls confirm We are on the verge of passing the “Jeremy Lin sucks” thread so we got that going for us. If we combined the two Sengun threads, it’d be the 2nd most replied thread (in the GARM). Need it to surpass both cyberx threads. Spoiler “Nope.”
