Tari deserves starters minutes even if he is not starting his numbers are off the charts good. Ime needs to take minutes away from those that are struggling - Tate, Jalen etc...and give them to Tari. DD
Yall tripping! I like Tari, but his offense is limited as well. For now, he's a really good role player coming off the bench for us. The 3rd year jump will give us better indication if he can take Dillon Brooks or Jalen Green spot in a couple of seasons. Otherwise, he could be a great trade piece to package to bring in a Superstar via trade.
Right now he's our best rebounder and shot blocker based on percentages in about twenty minutes per game. He's always been one of, if not the best hustle players on the team, and he's our best plus-minus player by far. I like our starting five and holiday, as long as we get wins I'm fine with it. But I've always said they need to develop Eason into a star with attention like our top picks. Cultivate his offensive/defensive game and bag.
Ron Artest really surprised me when we traded for him back in the day. I mean I knew that he scored points but once you ended up watching him game after game, you just really came to appreciate his acumen for using his size bulk, and then being just good enough at things across-the-board to be a relatively good offensive player. I don’t necessarily think that is attainable for Tari, but maybe a lesser version of that. Hit 3’s, draw a few fouls, muscle and bully. it is completely fair to argue that Jalen Green has seemed to plateau for the time being and is still inefficient. FVV as a scorer is also relatively inefficient. Because of this, Tari has to stay coming off the bench. I would be upping his minutes though. No doubt.
People talk about the hustle, his dominant rebounding, his wing span, his defense….what they don’t talk about is that he shot 34% from 3 last yr (better than Jabari and Jalen), and this year he’s shooting 36% from 3. Again, that’s better than Jabari and Jalen right now. let’s not put Tari in a box. Folks are gonna continue to underestimate him, but I see a future stud in the Kwahi mold. Never trade this guy; he’s gonna be a champion one day.
Wild take coming (brace yourself) I think of he can develop a consistent jumper and bulk up a bit he can be a kwahi type player.
like the unathletic Sengun thing, he has the curse of his clumsy lay-ups that causes him to be underestimated.
