I think there is much we don’t know about the lead up to the attack on October 7. I would be very very careful about this being some sort of conspiracy within Israel’s security and intelligence services. It is very likely this was a failure of their intel like what happened to the US in the lead up to 911.
True. We don't know nearly enough about the lead up or the security failures. Much too early to claim it was or wasn't. It's even possible it was both. It could be a situation where is Israel knew about it, but underestimated the severity of what it became. We do know the group that deserves blame for carrying it out no matter what other factors were involved are Hamas. That being said, intelligence failures either intentional or unintentional should be rectified.
