I know that, you are talking about "out of budget" which makes zero sense to me since the reason we have so many unguaranteed contracts is to make sure we do have the budget.

Jalen does play team basketball. Even Jokic neds Murray to win a ring. Sengun needs that elite perimeter scorer to complement him.

At the very least him and Jalen already have that kind of bond on and off the court.

Sounds more like let's wait and see than time to eat crow.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens, but I frankly trust Udoka’s input at this point. We’ve seen more lightbulbs come on for Jalen in the last month than the previous two years and you can see it and hear it with Udoka.

If they extend him, I’m assuming it’s with the coach’s blessing. And they’ll start figuring out how to get him to play to his potential more and more.

Wrong again. Go review the history of your boy D-Mo if it’s too complicated for you to understand.

Selling low is always a bad idea. At least wait for the next hot streak.

Because I’m rational and don’t panic…. Next season. The bottomline, he is more valuable to the rockets now and selling low is just dumb.

Who says anyone is waiting? Maybe it’s just a matter of what the options are for a return. Stone is likely all ears if someone wants to give him a call to discuss Jalen. Hard to say what his market is and what type of players available to come back. Stone is probably the only guy who could say what that is.

I have no interest in moving Jalen if there’s not a substantial young player coming back or an all star caliber veteran. Maybe something like Jalen + filler for Klay Thompson would be interesting but Klay has been horrible this season so you might even need a pick from GS as well.

I could see veteran contenders really being the market that is willing to give up the most for Jalen given what he does and (more importantly) what you don’t need him to do. I think any team valuing him is valuing him as he is and who he’ll be in a few years as he settles even more in his role.

I think Jalen has more value for this team than some here might think. His bursts of offense (when we actually get them) just really balloons our lead and gives us a sustainable lead to hold. It’s just maddening that it cannot come in a more consistent throughout a game.

So point being… I’m not moving him for nothing. He has a ton of value even if he never develops into a superstar. As is he’s still really important.

I know a lot of you guys aren't watching anything but the box score, but JG did a freaking fantastic job navigating over and under screens today.

The weak ball control is going to be rectified with experience and strength, and that is my biggest annoyance with JG at the moment. That said, I am keeping faith. He is getting some great coaching.

Has to learn to dribble. Hopefully they are breaking it down on film after each game and drilling and drilling and drilling.

i haven’t seen any real improvement on his handles or processing the game. I don’t expect the handles to change greatly but hopefully Ime can help him with the bball IQ. It doesn’t make sense to trade him this season unless some team is making a stupid offer. As long as his shooting stays improved I think we keep the faith. If he’s not more consistent over the 2nd half of the season that could change things. Honestly it’s really about if Ime believes in him.

I think he can get away with a weaker handle if he learns to use his speed off-ball. The question is, can Jalen develop those skills faster than he can a tighter handle? He’s already reading the game better, so there’s some promise that he’ll figure things out sooner rather than later, but he shouldn’t be exempt from criticism in the meantime

It’s ironic that a consistent version of Jalen Green is exactly what this team is missing and needs the most, and he just can’t get there.

He doesn't fit, his style is not conducive to what Ime is trying to run unless it is ISO heavy and trying to run down hill?

I don't believe the Org can wait much longer on a decision they have all these young guys you have to pay them after their first contract.....Jalen and Sengun are up for an extension after this year the org can go with a TO and kick it down the road one more year, and then offer, but if the org has decided they are going to offer Sengun the Max and let Jalen test the market, we run the risk of getting FVV'd ourselves where a team will overpay for Jalen's possible upside as they might have longer or a better contract situation than we do, and losing him for nothing.

I don't believe he has the BBall IQ to play off the ball - he withers without it, and it effects both ends.....yes, he is 21, but he lacks so many fundamentals still, and even though we see incremental improvement his numbers are pretty flat since his rookie year....as far as overall growth - we aren't seeing it, where we do see it in huge amounts in Sengun, and Bari, and Eason......

So, for me, he has until the trade deadline and I would be shopping him now, we have a better fit in the Gleague that is 19.

Fullheartedly disagreed though, he has played himself to little value, you will see that on the trade market, black market, whatever market.

I think he is consistently scoring around 17-18 ppg now......
