Well, two things here. The first is that I plain don't believe him when he says he won't abuse his power to get retribution on anyone. He has said when someone hits him, he hits back 10 times harder. He has taken political retribution upon people who have opposed him in the past. He has complained of past appointees of not being loyal enough. Heritage Foundation is running a process to recommend appointees who show sufficient loyalty. He has accused Biden, his son, and many prosecutors and others of crimes. One of his campaign planks from 2016 was prosecuting Hilary Clinton (which he had to abandon because his DOJ wasn't willing to flush their reputations down the toilet pursuing). And, he alleges that all the cases against him are merely political, which opens a rhetorical front for saying he's fighting fire with fire. I don't doubt that he will try to get more compliant appointees to run the FBI and DOJ and will try to have cases brought against all his perceived political enemies, even little ones. And, if he can't get them that way, he'll get them some other way, like the way his DOJ couldn't get an indictment of Andrew McCabe but still tried to deny him his pension. The second thing is, why does he say he will abuse his power to close the border and drill for oil. Sure, those are campaign planks. And it emphasizes his commitment to getting it done. But, why is it okay among the Maga for him to say he'll abuse his power to get these two things done. He shares power with a Congress and a judiciary. It reveals the fascism at the core of Trumpism that his voters want only this one representative of the public will to make the decisions and to steamroll even their own elected officials in the Senate and the House and to steamroll the whole judicial edifice we've built over hundreds of years. Nevermind that he won't actually be able to do anything so substantive on Day 1 (EOs like that will be struck down by courts and he won't even have his appointees anyway -- it'll take years to finish subverting our institutions -- or "rooting out the Deep State" as yall like to call it), one day of abusing the power of the office is still abusing the power of the office and should be, to patriotic citizens, completely disqualifying. Nothing about "only on Day 1" makes his answer any better. Naw, I never get tired of it.

But since you asked: I like some of his foreign policies - very supportive of Israel (even more so than Biden, although I will give Biden props that he has been on Israel's side so far), very much against the evil UN. I like that he calls out Germany and other leechers for not contributing to NATO. I don't like that he considers getting out of NATO. I like his company-friendly policies, but I don't necessarily like his protectionist policies. I very much like his anti-woke stance. I consider the leftist crew around AOC, Tlaib etc. as more dangerous than Trump. I still think Trump is a malignant narcissist and that carries certain risks.

We are all (or most of us, anyway, including me) American people. I suppose the election will show what we've had enough of. The last time Trump was on the ballot, the we've-had-enough-of-Trump vote won out by 7 million Americans. Heck even in the 2016 election that made Trump our problem, the lets-not-even-go-down-that-road vote won by 3 million Americans. So, I'm not sure you've really got much to stand on to claim the will of the American people.
