Whether there are accurate claims of people asking for genocide or bad faith claims?

Like is a person saying "end zionism" to you a phrase asking for genocide of Jews?

Would you say any individual who wants to end the Saudi regime and change it to another regime that isn't based on theocratic principles islamophobic or wanting to end the Muslim population or Arab population?

What about if someone wants to end the Iranian regime ? Are they asking to genocide Iranians?

 

That's fairly easy to Google/AI bot in order to satisfy your own hypothetical.

The topic focuses on when that line is crossed and whether those three campuses are recognizing it as grounds for punishment and are enforcing it.

The presidents clearly understood that question through their quibbling.

 

I sincerely don't want to play this game. I want you to present the evidence of genocidal claims as you are the claimant here. You don't have to engage at all and I'm not going to further push you. I'll just stop my questions the moment you tell me you don't want to engage further.

I want a sincere analysis of what is considered genocidial claims and whether there is merit to it or whether it's the heavy hand of lobbying groups trying to frame good faith attacks of the actions of a nation-state as genocidal rhetoric.

If a topic focuses on whether a line was crossed then I would assume analyzing the content that is being claimed to have crossed the line would be a great setting point for said analysis.

 

I think you're misunderstanding me because "my claims" are based upon the vid in the original post.

You're introducing a side discussion that I could invest time in but is secondary when the main topic is whether campus admin would do anything about it when "the genocidal claims" do match your criteria.

 

Not going to. Not that I don't believe there is hate being thrown at Jewish students (there is; antisemitism is at a record level).

College students are some of the most engaged individuals and are easily influenced by 'movements.' They protest against war and other issues. Sometimes, they grow up and later realize they were wrong or naive, but not much harm is done personally by them. But hate? That's a dark valley that you don't just grow out of. You don't threaten someone and later just say you were being dumb. I don't know why this seems to be going on, but I kind of blame people in power. There is just too much more hatred nowadays (on all sides), and that is spreading into our youth, leading them to believe it's acceptable behavior.

 

I totally get everyone's objection to @AroundTheWorld posting this but he's right,a university wouldn't allow this if directed at other groups.

Colleges promote free speech in the exchange of ideas but this is just hate. Colleges would not allow this towards blacks. It is threatening regardless of it being a threat or not

Is being against a ceasefire of killing civilians and vocally expressing it a genocidal claim?

Is celebrating the bingo of Gaza on campuses considered genocidal rhetoric?

Is saying that all Gazans should never to Egypt supporting of ethnic cleansing?

Is saying that all Palestine shall be free a genocidal claim?

Is saying you are an anti-zionist a genocidal claim?
