I brought this up in another thread. My US Rep and city councilman are both Muslims yet Ive dealt with and far more concerned Christianity in politics in the US than any other religion.
That is reasonable. In the US Christians imposing their religion into governing FAR outweighs that of Muslims or any other religion.

With a different candidate, I could see lefties wringing their hands and saying, 'you don't know, he might try to be a dictator!' But, not with Trump because we definitely know he will try to be a dictator. Given everything else he has said and done, this interaction doesn't even add all that much to the record. Anyone that believes Trump is going to try to be a dictator is dumb ass hell, you are either saying it to put Trump in a negative view or you actually believe the propaganda. People cried in 2016 when he was elected and the country greatly prospered. Without the pandemic he would right now be nearing the end of his second term and this whole Biden nightmare would have never happened with liberals able to move forward with potentially a better candidate in 2024 that could help the country continue to be great. Should have let it be, they pushed Trump and conservatives to be even more conservative and eradicated what true liberals were and pushed them to the far left where nothing makes sense and everything is backwards. Trump is winning in 2024, whether you like it or not....
Not sure how you define "greatly prospering." If you're thinking about the economic trajectory of the country, yeah, we did fine under Trump. The place didn't fall apart. We basically stayed on the trend we've been on for decades, through Obama, Trump, and now Biden, with some bumps along the way for the Great Recession and Covid. Trump didn't impoverish us. And that was never my complaint about him anyway and has nothing to do with how he plans to abuse his power if he returns to office in the future. But, that's not why I quoted you. I know we disagree, and I know neither of us have the bandwidth to try to change the other's mind. I was just wondering what you thought Trump said afterward that was exculpatory.
You are okay with Biden abusing his power but not Trump, this is the issue.... Biden and co can basically say anything they want and its a non story, the media stays hush and they don't run hit pieces. The only backlash coming from conservative outlets which never gains much traction anyways and goes away until the next thing dems say that follows the same formula. Trump says he won't be a dictator except on day 1 to close the border and drill.....Which is exactly what I think he means, he will use all of his ability and power to get something done about the border. But since the word dictator was thrown around the media got what they wanted, the same way they got what they wanted when Trump said there were good people on both sides.... Completely taken out of context to fit the narrative, Trump is everything bad..... Racist, misogynist, homophobe, thief, crooked, DICTATOR..... Its been years of this nonsense, people are tired of it....

I didn't like Trump, even thought he should be in jail at some point, but at the end of the day, his policies are closer to what I believe is best for the world than some of the Dem's policies, and no, I don't think he would turn into some kind of evil dictator.
