I have always been under the impression that the most active D&D posters skew very far to the left, but that there are actually quite a few "quiet" conservative readers here. Am curious - this poll is anonymous, nobody can see where you stand.
Conservstive or liberal would be a better poll. Prior to trump every ideology test I took placed me at moderately conservative/ moderately libertarian. My views on a few issues have shifted now and I usually land moderately liberal now, still slightly libertarian.
Do you have some good links for online "ideology tests"? I'd like to take one targeted to the US (have only done them tailored to German voters so far, I think).
Surprise! Spoiler Staunchly conservative and overwhelmingly Republican, Committed Conservatives hold pro-business views traditionally associated with the Republican Party, have favorable attitudes about international trade and favor limited government. Their approach to international relations centers on engaging with U.S. allies and maintaining American military might. Committed Conservatives tend to hold more moderate positions on immigration than Faith and Family Conservatives and Populist Right. They also are slightly more moderate than these groups on some issues related to racial and ethnic equality. While they largely supported Donald Trump in 2020, they are less likely than Faith and Family Conservatives and Populist Right to favor a major role for Trump in their party’s future.
accidentally put my response in the wrong thread, so copy and pasting it here… Democrat, but didn’t have much of an issue with the Romney/McCain type of republicans these days are long gone after Trump and the sh*t stain cesspool MAGA takeover, I could never see myself even entertaining a republican candidate I remember when Sarah Palin was considered crazy and way out there for the republican party, but she doesn’t hold a candle to the current trash
I have voted both ways, I typically think of myself as an Independant and go for the person I most align with, lately that's been the Dems because the gop has lost its way with the extremes and the out and out lies that come from the right. IMO the gop is pretty much DOA these days and its morphed into maga
I didn't agree with McCain, but when he did that, he gained my upmost respect. Oh, the good ole days when we thought Palin was nuts and no one would ever be any worse.................................man did we get that wrong LOL
Interesting survey. Not sure if my "cultural" bs is that much more left than right, but who am I to question the folks at gotoquiz.com.
Actually don't think it is far off. I view myself as an independent, but Trump has largely ruined the Republican party for me. And deep down, I don't believe the party as a whole truly believes in being fiscally responsible. It is just cut taxes and spend money to continue over-inflating the economy.
